thanks shelly - I thought that doing it too often may effect the quality fo teh sperm. We seem to be settling into it being every second day at the moment which would fit with what you have been told.

Also wondering about supplements. I'm generally quite healthy and not overweight and do take a multivitamin daily supplement with iron - but this contains Vit A, which I am meant to avoid if TTC? What supplements can people recommend that don't cost the earth (this being mse and all!!!!)?

Can you tell I am new to this :D

I was also advised to take any pre natal supplement. I find them quite expensive though so not much help there! I went onto Pregnacare for a while as I got a deal online for buying a few months worth at once but they don't agree with me, make my headaches much worse and more frequent than usual.
Now I just take folic acid everyday.

I have some Pregnacare left if you (or anyone) wants them. They are just sitting here doing nothing. I have 3 unopened foils of 15 tablets per foil. Then I have a foil that I have had 3 tablets out of so 12 left in that foil. If anyone wants them PM your address and you can have them, get them out of my way :D They are in date till oct 09.

**Sorry girls the pregnacare has now gone but if it helps I got mine from here http://www.vitabiotics.com/selectedbrand.aspx?BRANDNAME=Pregnacare&sm=18
At the time I got them they were the cheapest on the net as they have an offer on. Do check tho as they might not be the cheapest any more but the offer is a good one.

I'm gutted. We should be TTC, but when it came to it.. my OH wouldn't 'do the deed'. We'd talked about it for the past few months, how the new year would be a good time and a few days before my fertile period this month, I mentioned to him we'd need to get busy!!! He told me that it was unromantic to make sex into a baby making act and we should just let it happen. But it didn't!!! To be honest, we have low sex drives... so I doubt that it would ever happen if we left it to when we are in the mood!!!

Afterwards I asked him why he could't go through with it and he told me that we should have talked more about it! I thought he didn't want to!! Now the time has passed and I guess I'll have to hope that next month he's more willing. I think he is suffering from last minute commitment phobia... but i'm 36 and feel now is the time. I'm not sure how to approach this.. what do you think?

Woo hoo!!! We've finally 'done it'!! :rotfl: But it was completely the wrong time of the month! He keeps mentioning that I might be pregnant but I dont have the heart to tell him it was totally the wrong time. I just said, well, probably not.. but you never know! At least he's getting used to the idea and we are doing it!!!

    WTG you!! :T

Hubby said to me as we were watching footy tonight that tonight is the night. I said it didn't matter as I am due AF anyday now so it wouldn't make any difference. He said "Thats it, you have used me and abused me and now you are casting me aside" :rotfl:

We have been real good this month, very regular (every 2-3 nights) but it has been tough some nights if we haven't really wanted to but we knew we had to.

yayyy he's slowly coming round... i've got my fingers crossed for you butterfly that this month he is more susceptible to doing it on your most fertile days... it will happen for you!

After lots of persuasion... ok I admit it nagging lol... Mr Pincher who has an appalling diet and would live solely on pot noodles and pizza baguettes if I wasn't here has started having a handful of pumpkin seeds every day and ... I'm in shock... tonight he has even agreed to start taking a vitamin supplement despite being completely against them up until yesterday!

Does anybody know of any good potent ones that deliver main vitamins and amino acids which enhance male fertility and, as a bonus, libido? I looked at this one which sounds good

but it's £24.97 a month and have to take 3 capsules each day. I think that may be pushing my luck a little so I want to try to find a 1 a day capsule that he's more likely to take regularly.
  • Just seen Wellman and Fertilcare on Accessdiagnostics - both around £8 a month. It doesn't give information on the quantity of the different vitamins though ... eek out of my depth!

Try and find out the ingredients, or rather exactly what vitamins, minerals etc these expensive ones contain and compare them to bog standard everyday mulitvits or try to find a cheaper alternative.
I know I drone on about we were advised this and that :D but I was the only one advised to take a prenatal vitamin supplement, hubby was advised to just take aneveryday standard multivit. He gets Tescos own make. I'm sure they are less than £5 for 360 tablets.

Or ask at a health food food shop such as Holland and Barratt (only one I can think of) I'm sure they could recommend something suitable.

Well no luck for me this time, after using the o sticks since my last AF (6 weeks) and getting negative every time, I had AF make a very light appearance last night.

Although I did think I got a positive result one day 2.5 weeks ago but next day had gone back to neg so I wasn't sure if it was or not, so maybe it was positive after all as surely I ovulated if AF is here!?

Have dr's appointment for next Tues to discuss the day 21 tests but no point now as AF came in the end.

I kept an eye out for other signs of ovulation, but I don't seem to get that much of a change in CM. Thinking I should try BBT, but since this only tells me when I have ovulated, would it be pointless charting this if my cycle is not regular?
