I'm feeling quite a bit better today, dh and I have managed to talk a bit more and reach a place where I no longer want to punch him in his sleep.:D
I took the dogs for a very long walk yesterday, over 4 hours where I just walked and walked. And it's reminded me how out of shape I've become. I used to be extremely fit and quite muscular. In Ireland I used to do an extremely tough martial arts class 3 or 4 times a week. But I never found a class I clicked with in London, and that coupled with a bad re-occurrence of an old back injury two years ago which left me unable to walk for a couple of months, has turned all my old muscles a bit flabby.
So I've decided to focus on getting fitter. I can't go back to getting pummeled around a room for 2 hours while I'm hoping to get pregnant, but I can focus on shaping up. It will be good for me when I get pregnant again anyway, because if I strengthen my back up it will stand a better chance of carrying a baby without it giving out on me.0 -
That's if you have a D&C or ERCP. I was "lucky" in that my mc happened early enough for me to have a natural miscarriage. So I'd be fairly safe to get pregnant now. I get the impression though that dh is thinking along the same lines as you.
Oh well, maybe I'm a twice a month ovulator and can get knocked up next week.
Hi Gracie
I too had a natural miscarriage and the nurse in the early pregnancy centre at our local hospital told me I should wait 6 weeks before trying to conceive again. It's to give your body chance to readjust between pregnancies or something like that

Oh angeladavies i relate so much to what you are saying about work.
I am struggling so hard to get my work done and seem to spend too much time on here and worrying about ttc, it is crazy as i always thought of myself as very sensible and logical, yet my mind is totally pre-occuppied and i feel silly!
Oh well, i am trying to limit myself to only coming on at lunch time and early in the morning, it doesn't help that i work from home so no one is watching me!Leopardlady

Hey LeopardLady, I hope I didn't offend you by saying DH may not be up for it:o . What I meant was my DH is always up for it and sometimes I'm not and I know with some couples it works the other way. And I hope you are feeling a bit less snuffly today too, not conducive to bding thats for sure, lol!
Think my sleep patterns may be settling a little so gonna try and start BBT. I suppose it doesn't matter too much getting temps at start of cycle - and I am only on CD8 today so will try in the morning to get my first reading.
Gracie if you ever wanna come and take my dogs for a 4 hour walk you are more than welcome, they would love you forever and ever! lol. Mine are just getting over their bout of kennel cough and the wall climbing is starting! I don't want to take them out before their antibiotics are finished so Thursday I will be getting back in the saddle as it were. Actually thats quite true because I have this thing called a springer and you attach it to your bike and then the lead to the springer and they can run along beside you. 1 of my dogs is a 6 year old staffy so I cannot walk as far or as fast as he needs to be worn out. This springer is like the best thing ever! It also means he can run across the fields with me (because he can't go off lead - he ignores me and is a bit dog aggressive).
Anyway I digress - wrong thread for talking about my mutts!
Good luck to everyone for October - I have seen a late September BFP from a long time tryer on the other thread and that has instilled so much confidence in me its not true!

Hey RosieBud,
don't worry i know what you meant, i sometimes think i may have a strange one in my OH as he is not up for it as much as my mates OHs, but there we go, i am trying to make my want rub off on him!
Oh yes i saw the long tome tryer's huge BFP, fantastic news, there is hope for all:)

Hi guys
just a quickie, i have just been watching the sexual health programme on channel 4 and they were talking about fertility. Do you all know when your mothers started their menopause, because apparently this can have a bearing on your fertility.
Hope i don't scare any one with this, but thought it is something worth noting. I am a little worried as my mother had her menopause very early and i am only a few years away from that. Hopefully i will have one baby, although OH wants 3 i would love 2 but would be overjoyed with one.

I caught the tail end of this. My mum started the menopause at the end of last year. So that should mean I have 8/9 decent years ahead of me. My dad's mother had 10 children and her youngest was born when she was 42. My other grandmother had 5 and she was 38 when she had her youngest.
I'm 29 (30 in Dec) so I'm nervous about time running out, but not too freaked. Though obviously my miscarriage has made me extremely paranoid. My nana who had 10 kids was 30 when she had her first, but I'd rather not follow too closely in her footsteps.:rotfl:
RosieBud, I'm a springer owner too. I've got 2 2 year olds. The bike trick sounds interesting, but I'd be terrified they'd spy a cat under a car and send me flying.:eek:0 -

I am 33 1/2 and it happened for me so don;t worry on account of your age.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Me too - I am an older Chicken now at 39 but I have my DS at 34 so dont be put off by long termers like me trying for years - Im not a spring chicken anymore!!!
I have heard the info re the menopause, My mum had hers in quite her late 40s, so I may have 10 years to go:eek: but my FSH levels are already high, so unless I stay like this for years I think I may go through it earlier - although I have a damaged ovary so I dont know if this affects anything?

Just for anyone that didn't see the show the website is here http://sexperienceuk.channel4.com/
They basically said that approx 10 years before you go through menopause is when your fertility deteriorates quickest (hope I remembered that right! I'm suddenly worried I've got it wrong!)0
