God, sooooo embarrassed! Thanks for all your replies, y'all made me feel sooo much better!

shelly - I was reading The Sun yesterday and basically there was an article about whether you can try for a boy or a girl in particular. Now there was a bit in there that said an orgasm can help with conception because acidity in your ladies bits can be detrimental to sperm but if you have the big O then you get some "juices" that help the little swimmers along. That made me panic because it doesn't always happen for me and therefore I started thinking that each bd is not viable if I "don't", iykwim!? But I do have some of that pre-seed which I am definitely going to start using now!;)

Congrats to Stargirl aswell :j , bet thats the start of a run of BFPs this month!

Hope everyone is ok and keeping positive!

    Congrats Stargirl!

I'm on a down today - rubbish day at work and OH was ill last night so we couldn't bd again, so now I'm wondering if we missed our best chance. I got a faint line on my OV stick today, so I guess my LH surge is over. Maybe it's my hormones making me cranky. I already feel like I know it's not happened this month

Ok. I see what you mean now.

My consultant told me before removing my cervix that I might not achieve the Big O as often as I used to (the cervix is a muscle that has a lot to do with the Big O) but it should have no bearing at all on fertility. ie you don't need the Big O to conceive....good thing too because he was right :D
He just said that when hubby is having his Big O to make sure he is on an inward push so that as he ejaculates it is going as deep inside as it can so that it should hit the cervix....makes the spermies job easier.

The withdrawal method only has a 73% success rate as a form of birth control. So it's been known for people to get pregnant without a male orgasm never mind a female one. ;)

Though the female orgasm is believed to aid conception as the spasms during orgasm help suck the sperm from the vagina into the uterus. This only helps if the woman's orgasm occurs simultaneously with the man's, or shortly afterward. So it doesn't hurt to maybe see if you can "finish yourself off." It's not necessary to conceive but it beats lying on your back with your legs in the air. :D

Hi Girls well Im very sorry to say that Hubby and I have came to the end of our TTC journey (well for the moment anyway) Unfortunately today our worst fears were confirmed and I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, needless to say at 24 this has came as a bit of a shock. We have been advised that for the moment, well at least until things are brought under control it might be best to postpone things.

I will pop on here when I can to see how you are all getting on.

Sending baby dust to you all

Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!

Hi, loopylinz, I too was diagnosed with RA 1 year ago. Age 29. I know the pain you must be going through. However a year on and after medication things do get better.I am going to withdraw from medication soon and after three months we can start TTC. So it is possible just takes time. Any info regarding RA please ask, Nic
