Helen, I'm glad you're feeling better today. I hope things turn out the way you want them too. Big hugs.

I posted a 6.5 % discount code for Access diagnostics last week which is still valid if you do order I'd go for the bigger pack of tests - cheaper to buy them this way.
If you have regular 28 day cycles I would start the ovulation tests a few days after AF has gone (or you could start testing right after if your cycle is sometimes shorter.
If you get more tests you can afford to start testing earlier and then hopefully you'll get an idea of when you are ovulating.
Hope your feeling better today x
Thanks very much for the info and the discount code - I've just ordered 20, so I'll start testing right after af. Trying to work out how I can sneakily do the tests at work (I work strange hours and the instructions on the website say it's best to test after 12)!
Helen - hope the chocolate is making you feel better *hugs*

Greent - I'd go get a digital test... I don't like the lines ones because frankly I don't trust lines
At least the Clear blue digital spells it out for you! But do it first thing in the morning if it's early on as you have the most hormones in your wee then so are more likely to get an accurate reading
Yep - did it. BFP. Which means conception was 26th Aug, making me 5 weeks approx :-D EEEEKKKK!
Good luck everyone xx Sprinkling lots of babydust around xx

Hi,
i didnt realise /or avoided this thread, but i need to unload, im 36 with a 10year old ds, and new partner of nearly 5 years, we have been ttc for near on 5 years, unfortunatley i miscarried twins at just over 5 months gone a few years back, i had to give birth to their lifless souls. and that has knocked me for six, ive been under guys and st thomas's for 2 years, failed iuis, and 2 failed ivfs, we are planning to go to see a consultant in italy in november to see what he can offer. approx by end of this £22,000 spent on fertility, we are lucky as oh is an it consultant and has a good wage, but we do feel the pinch. ive met a few girls on the comps board who are in similar positions, but its still a very lonely place to be xxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Hi Toniq - you have been through a lot, sorry it's been so difficult. Losing 2 at 5 months must have been horrific, not something you'd ever forget, or get over.
It took us 3 years to conceive, but every months just got harder and harder emotionally.
Good luck in Italy, I hope it happens. Have you investigated ICSI by the way?0 -
hi
been trying for ages I only ovulate every other cycle which is rubbish, can anyone let me know where to get that gel that keeps the sperm alive for longer....
I am on mymonthycycles.com which is quite good and do those ovulation tests which are 50 for £6 ish off ebay which is handy when all this is going on for ages lol.
Good luck girlies x0 -
Hi Toniq,
Welcome! The people on this thread are a nice bunch - really supportive.
Your story is a very sad one, but also really inspiring, as you've not given up! I wish you all the luck in the world for Italy.

I've just signed up on www.mymonthlycycles.com - what a clever site!
I'm going to use the OV test sticks to work out my luteal phase (assuming I am OV-ing, and add it to the tracker, to let it work out my OV dates, and see how things go. I'm also going to try and track my symptoms throughout my cycle, in the hope that it will help me avoid symptom-spotting. If nothing else it will give me plenty of info to take to the doc's in Jan (that's the 1 year ttc cut-off date for us to go seeking help).
Definitely feeling a bit more positive today - CD1 and round we go again!0 -
Welcome newbies and good luck to you all!can anyone let me know where to get that gel that keeps the sperm alive for longer....
Is there such a thing? I'd like some too if there is.
Do you mean Pre-seed? Its a vaginal lubricant but is recommended for couples TTC as it helps the sperm move more freely inside the woman to get to where it needs to be.
It doesn't keep the sperm alive for longer though.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
hisorry prob is that gel miss read a previous post. where do you get that pre-seed from getting desperate now, silly isnt it, think if I finally get pregnant i will pass out with shock!!0
