Please, can someone tell me off for even thinking of doing a test today???? I am only on CD 18 and I have been telling myself all along this month that I will take it easy, and have done so far, but now got an uncontrollable urge to do a test. It can only show one thing - negative!!!!!

Sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do to put your mind at rest. Even if you are sure it will be a neg result it would be running through your mind and you wouldn't be able to not think about it (well that is what it is like with me for so many things :o e.g. "I'll just check the internet once more then I'll do the work I am suposed to be doing.....") so no telling off....

    Hi everyone,

I'll be able to have my wisdom teeth extracted without worrying about taking painkillers etc. (Hmmm..there's definitely something wrong when I'm consoling myself with a trip to the dentist and a week of eating through a straw )

FYI, my DH had his out earlier this year, top and bottom on one side and (against the instructions) he was eating solids the same day! It wasn't as bad as we thought it would be with regards to swelling (I had been teasing him about the possibility of looking like a hamster and there was no hamster face in the end!).

Tell me about internet and work combination.....
I was just so hopeful that I get pregnant last month, and AF was late for the whole TWO days (first time ever), that I was afraid to move in case that will make AF to come! Silly me!!!!!! AF did come, more painful than usual, stayed 2 days (not usual) and left me to hope for another month. Getting fed up and need to get pregnant NOW!

(Sorry - I am taking it easy this month...)

Okay, might have been exaggerating slightly! :rotfl: I'm having all four out in one go..but I'll be relieved to get it done because I had an infection in one just before I found out that I'd miscarried, so in my head the two are linked, even though I know that actually it wasn't the case as the baby had stopped growing over a week before. I just don't want to be worrying about infections and antibiotics etc. etc. if I ever get pg again!

Thanks for the info lizziebell...it's made me a bit less anxious! Now to find out if I have worked out how to do the quotes thing properly....

    Hello all

Have dipped in and out of this thread but felt it was time to actually post.

DH and I have been ttc for ...wait for it....7 years now.

    I have 2 DD's from my 1st marriage (aged 12 and 10) but DH doesn't have any.

We were poked and proded and the problem lies with me and ovulation, I have regular cycles but am just not ovulating.

Had 6 months of clomid 2 years ago which turned my into the pyshco b1tch from hell and I was happy to finish them...needless to say, it didn't work. My consultant was so patronising and offered us IVF but as I'd already got my DD's we'd have to pay - not something we could afford or had even contemplated to be honest.....he told me it was a "one off offer" and that I needn't come back in 2 years time when "I'd failed to give my husband a baby".....(no I didn't complain - far to emotional at the time).

So here we are - I've just turned 35 and feel as tho time really is running out, I've just started taking Angus Castus in the hope that it will even out my hormones and kick start the ovulation.

Would be intersted to hear from any other "long termers" experiences and any advice would be fab.

    Same here, same here.....

Just to add: we all know that it cannot be positive in 4-5 days, as implantation takes longer to occur, and hormone levels start rising only after implantation. But the logic explanation just doesn't work, and of course, I am different and my hormone levels will be way up there only after a few hours from BD'ing!

  • Hi Honeypop (and other old lags (that's 'lags'!) - I have a feeling it was me that had tried to quietly point out the massive difference between 'trying to conceive' and 'trying and failing to conceive' - at least, it sounds like something I might have said!

I got very bitter back in June - after trying for 3 very long years and getting nowhere. Luckily, I took one month worth of Clomid that same month, when I had more or less hit rock bottom - and bingo (and they say Clomid doesn't work - pah to that.)

I'm 17 weeks now, and haven't posted since then because of that. I did just want to say that all the agony of T&FTC (new acronym!) just evaporates if/and when you get that BFP - and you only need the one, and with a bit of luck and modern medicine behind you, you should get there. Although it can be hard to believe when it just doesn't happen - especially if you don't know why.

    Keep the faith!

Have been TTC number 2 for 13 months now. First took 5 months and is now 2.5 years old. During pregnancy with her I had an undiagnosed burst appendix for ages but my crohns diease wrapped around it and stopped me getting peritonitus (spelling :) ). I also had an abcess on the other side :(. The consultant at the hospital said there is no reason why I can't concieve after that. My cycles are regular and I show LH surge and temperature rises etc but no luck. Does anyone else have this?

What's the betting that now we have booked a wedding for nine months time it happens this month  . I have to say that I'm not determined to have a second one but my little girl keeps asking when she can have a little sister :rotfl:
Trying to earn £2015 in 2015. Slightly early start ;). £175.88 today.
