Hello all... Can I join please?!
OH and I only started ttc in August and supposedly in a very relaxed "I'll stop taking the pill and we'll see what happens" kind of way, but already it's pretty much all I can think about  Have been lurking here for a while but have got so many questions and I think you're just the ladies who can help me!
Firstly... I understand that EWCM means ov which means bd (got the lingo already!), but can you ov without any EWCM, and can you get EWCM without ov'ing?
Am just trying to understand my cycle at the moment, but my memory from before I went on the pill (9 years ago) was that it was hideously irregular (maybe just long, maybe months) so I'm hoping things might have settled down on their own - does this happen?
Lots more questions but will keep this one short... Congrats to all the BFP's I've seen in the past few weeks - it feels like a lovely little community that I hope you'll let me be part of:j

Hiya Beebuzz168 and welcome!:D
I can't answer your questions I'm afraid but I am sure someone more knowledgable than me will be here soon. I am also just learning about my cycle so to be honest when you get the answers I will be reading them with interest too!:p
All I can say is that you're in good company and everyone on here is lovely and really supportive. It really helps to be able to "talk" about things with likeminded people as you can't always talk to people about ttc. Also I don't think our significant others quite understand how big a thing this ttc is!
Wanna say congrats to GracieP too! Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow or Saturday, though if you're anything like me it will be tomorrow, lol!:rotfl:

Thanks so much for that. I'm going to think about e-mailing it to our fertility specialist incase he hasn't heard of it.
Mind you, will probably say "Oh you have only lost 2, not enough to go onto drugs":heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

It was nearly an hour ago.I was very, very tempted to use one of the digitals. I managed to appease myself with one of my ebay ones. I guess as desperate as I am I'd rather waste 20p than £6.70

Thanks Rosie Bud...
You're quite right about OHs not really understanding. Although he is equally excited about the prospect of starting a family, it's not his body that has got to go through all the changes and I think he thinks, and me to be honest before I started reading all this, that we just have some unprotected nookie and bob's your uncle... After reading all of this, and finding out that I'm only fertile for about 5 minutes every month, it's amazing that any accidental pregnancies ever happen:rotfl:

Hi all,
Iam very happy to see this forum and would like to join hands with you in the path of ttc. Here's my story.we started to try from august2007 and still no sucess.Went to GP last month and luckily the doctor was so good that she recommended a blood and smear test for me and a sperm test for my dh.My blood test has been completed and the results came as normal.Went for a smear test last week and the nurse told its not advisible to take at the 21st day of my cycle. So have to go for it again on 30th of this month. As for as dh's smear test we have to collect the semen and take it to the hospital on tuesday.the semen should be taken within one hour of collection and should not be exposed to high cold or hot temp.so should hold it close to body.It takes nearly 20 minutes to get to the hosp and dont know how we are going to manage..lol:rotfl:
Added to these Iam waiting for my AF which is due next week.today is 24th day of my cycle.had some very mild crampings in abdomen for one week after ovulation.
so i was excited that i was preg, but now the cramoings have vanished...so sadly awaiting my af.
once we get both of our results and if there is no other problem, iam planning to buy clearblue digital fertility tracker and keep trying(no other go than to wait....
wish me good luck.

My hubby does his at the hospital in the loosThere isn't anywhere for blokes to do their samples and we want it to be as fresh as possible. (our local hospital is at least 20 mins away too)
I have just started using a Clearblue fertility monitor as I was lucky enough to get one free on a clinical trial. Can't tell you much at the moment though as I am only on day 5 of my first month of using it. According to the instructions tomorrow will be first day I have to poas....or in my case dip the stick.
I'll let you know my thoughts on it in a month or 2.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
