((((((FE)))))) from me too. I know what you all mean about people announcing their pregnancies.

Just this week my friend said she thought she was, and lo and behold she gets a BFP - she says she's going to get rid of it

I just want to grab her by the throat and shake her and scream DO YOU REALISE HOW LUCKY YOU ARE, THERE ARE LOADS OF PEOPLE HERE DESPERATE TO BE IN YOUR POSITION, SO WHAT IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN OH/HUBBY - I'm so bl00dy annoyed :o I think of all you lovely ladies out there and feel so sad to hear what my friend is going to do.
  • aw lil devil :( that's shocking even for a person to be told, it plays on your mind, i know it would with me i'd feel guilty for her doing it :/ I can deff see your point of view though, it hurts when there are so many women out there and there are all of you lovely ladies here trying for a baby! something just doesn't add up :(

Hi ladies, can whoever posted the link to the forum for ttc while trying to lose weight post it again please? I've had a nose and couldn't find it. I have a friend who will hopefully find it useful.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

I feel quite guilty for ranting about because she needs my support during this very difficult time. I can totallly understand where she's coming from (even if I don't agree with it), she has numerous health issues (drinking heavily, eating disorders, smoker) and her doctor has even told her that he'd be surprised if she didn't miscarry before she even gets her appointment - that must've made her feel even more rotten about herself and her ability to carry the baby/look after it if she did choose to keep it.

She said she'd understand if I didn't want to be friends with her if she had the 'procedure' as I'm a veggie (don't really see the logic in that one  ). I've tried to reassure her that while I don't agree with what she's planning to do, I will support her, be there for her and also go with her if she so wishes but I am really worried that she'll go by herself so as not to burden anyone. I have asked her to remember that even if she's got there, she can still change her mind and if she does change her mind, then to please not feel like she must go through with it just because she's there.
  • Hi there

Newbie here saying a tentative hello to the lovely ladies of this board.

I've been looking at this board on and off for a while now and finally I think I can post on here.

I've wanted babbas for a little while yet and I've been waiting to try for about 18 months. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease last year so was waiting for my body to heal. In January/February of this year, I was ready to start trying but then found out my thyroid was starting to play up so got it investigated. Turned out its behaviour was overactive and last month I was told it was just inflammed which was some good news so hopefully will get better at some point. I am now on a relatively low dosage of thyroid tablets and although it is not the best condition to probably try to conceive, I've had enough of waiting and I think there will be always be something holding us back whether it be health, personal or financial. We're both ready emotionally though. I was going to wait a couple of months as we're going on holiday next month but I will miss two possible ovulations so want to get cracking now! Hospital did say it was okay to start trying so I am not being completely irresponsible. I could be on tablets for 12-18 months so I don't want to wait that long as well!

I want to take a relaxed approach at first and not use OPKs or keep a record of my body temperature but I bet I will after a couple of months if no joy.

Sorry for my long intro. I am really looking forward to contributing to this board.

Oh yes, nearly forgot - I am on CD7.:o

Can I share a horrible nightmare I had - it has stayed in me head all day and I'm still feeling freaked out... (Sorry if TMI)

At a medical appointment with a nurse, having an examination of my abdomen, she was really pressing on my tummy - with more and more pressure. I kept thinking that I might be pregnant, but couldn't tell the nurse, and she was pressing even harder - until I was doubled over in pain, and then something inside went 'pop' and there was suddenly blood pouring down my legs.

I woke up thinking AF must have made an early appearance, and that I was lying in a pool of blood, but I wasn't.

Any ideas what on earth that might have meant? Or was it just the pizza I had last night? Has anyone else had a freaky pregnancy dream while TTC?
