Quick update......
I went to the docs today to get all the blood tests sorted out. Have got the packets ready, just need to wait till next AF as one has to be done between days 2 & 6.
I asked why my cycle lengths vary so much and could I do anything to make them roughly the same length each month. The answer to both was lose some weight. Apparently in women, when you are overweight the fat produces male hormones. Thats why my cycles are all over the place and could be why my skin is quite oily lately.
I also asked her to confirm for me when CD1 actually is of your cycle. I told her I count CD1 as the first day I wake up with bleeding but she said it doesn't really make a difference if you call CD1 the day you wake up or say AF arrives the evening before, that can be CD1 too.
She said just count full flow as CD1. Whether that is in the morning, evening or middle of the night, it doesn't matter.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Hi everybody,Quick update. SInce having 1 day of AF last week I've been feeling really sick and having terrible stomach pains. I can't fit into any of my trousers now and my boobs are sore. I went to the doctor today and she's taken another urine sample. She's also asked for a blood test to check if all my hormones are ok. I did take a test last week and it was still negative but I know my own body and there must be something wrong if I'm not pregnant. Any advce?????TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000

Hello all,
I've been a bit of a lurker on this thread for a while and have decided to post to say hello!
OH and I are TTC, I was on the pill for 2 years, and came off it at the beginning of July, spotted for about 2/3 days (I stopped taking the pill) and have had no sign of AF since then.
Does anyone know when things will get back to normal?
I've done a couple of pregnancy tests which have come back negative.
I am also quite overweight and worry that if we do conceive, that my weight will affect our unborn child in some way?0 -
5 weeks pregnant now but still very nervous it could all go wrong so would like to hang around a while longer. Have booked my midwife appointment but cant get in until 9 weeks!! I am in the process of booking myself a private early assessment scan for 9 weeks also. I dont think i could hold out until the 12 week dating scan to see if everything was ok.
I found out at 10 weeks with my last pregnancy that the baby had died at 5-6 weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next 4 weeks.0 -

Good luck, slscarborough!!!Hope all goes well for you and more of will be joining you soon!
Can I just ask how much would it cost early scan?... I don't think I would be able to wait either till 12 weeks, even though it would be first time for me (probably that is why!:rotfl:)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

£70 for a 'foetal viability' scan in Leeds - no idea of other areas though.

I too am overweight...very overweight actually
I have been pg twice but lost them both and have been told that my weight had no bearing at all on losing the pregnancies.
I have been told lots of times to lose weight but not for the health of any babies I might conceive, purely for my own health because of the extra weight and pressure on the body that being pregnant causes.
As always though...I am not a professional so if you are worried see your GP and have a chat.

Hi, I've posted before but just lurking and reading recently. Congrats to all those with BFPs, Thats great!!
I have a 5 year old DS, conceived after 2 years TTC after DH had vasectomy reversal - and I have been trying ever since for No2! I had a mc Christmas 2005, and have had another early mc Feb this year. I have had 3 unsuccessful IVF attempts, using natural IVF which uses a minimum of drugs which suits me better ( I dont DO hormones very well!!!!!!!!!) - I have PCOS in one ovary and Endometriosis. If anyone has any Qs about most tests/IVF etc, I have had most of them in my time!! I am also 39 so in fertility times, Im no spring chicken.
Im now indulging in a few different things, whilst waiting to start another IVF cycle, Ive missed the next one as I couldnt have a scan at the right time - so will be going ahead prob end September. So, meanwhile, I am trying positive thinking (dont discount it - all three times I have conceived I have spent the month telling myself that I WILL get pregnant!) Agnus Castus, Evening Primrose oil and robitussin!!!!! Hubby and I also take a multivitamin - me Sanatogen pregnancy ones, and he takes Wellman, which contains amino acids l'carnitine which are also required for spermies.
The 2ww doesnt seem to get easier, no matter how long you TTC, and the disappointment is just as bad now, even though I usually get a no!! I also buck the trend in the poas stakes as well, as I wait 2 weeks after AF due - and yes that is an absolute nightmare as I am also addicted to poas, but I hadnt realised that there are all these cheaper tests (doh!!) so now I prob wont be able to wait!!!!!!!!
But I am absolutely determined that one way or another we are having another baby so BDing will be happening big time in this house!!!
Good luck and baby dust to all, particularly Fairy elephant, I know what the 2ww from IVF is like and it sucks!!!
