Hello liloandstich, welcome to the thread!
It sounds like you will have more knowledge to pass on than gain, but out of interest have you tried BBT charting etc.
This is the route that I am starting to go down and just wondering what you thought of it.

You're so right. In fact after 20 cycles I seem to be finding it harder some months than others. I'm usually a fairly laid back, realistic 'take it as it comes' kind of gal, but each AF knocks me for 6.
I find the hardest thing is trying to explain to DH how I can go from 'normal' to sobbing wreck in a matter of seconds. I don't expect him to understand; I don't think that anyone can unless they've been through the same thing, which is why this thread is so helpful. My most recent analogy to try to get him somewhere near understanding is that I feel like a scrabble board all laid out neatly: words (life events) change and progress throughout the game (month) and I'm so close to winning if only I could get this last bit right, then someone (AF) comes along and kicks the board (me) into disarray and I can't see a way of pulling myself back together again.
I'm right as rain again after a day, or even a few hours sometimes but that initial disappointment is horrible.
Oh well, ov should happen in the next day or so, so here we go again :rolleyes:0 -
It is CD19/28, and temperature still as low as on CD1. Even though I got the positive OV test on Sunday, I don't think I am ov-ing this month... It is rather upsetting.... I know, near AF still be thinking that I could be pg, but it just ain't gonna happen. I am loosing my hope...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

My IVF clinic will not carry out IVF for a woman with a BMI of over 35 - I know other local clinics who will only carry it out for a BMI of 30. This is because from their point of view it is more likely to work - for me a BMI of 35 is about size 18.The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

miss_pink....and anyone else who applied for the Clearblue trial.
I got all my stuff today, 11 days after posting off my consent form. Came in a big box and has lots of info to take in.....looks more complicated than I first thought :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Girls looking for some help.
Ok this is our first month of TTC and to be honest I dont really have a clue what my cycles are like. Have managed to work out that this is day 11 of my cycle and its usually about 28-30 days.
Signed up to a web site that is supposed to calculate when I am ovulating but Im not sure Im doing it right. It keeps asking me how I feel and well I dont really feel anything! Lol!
So as you can see Im very very confused!!!
Can anyone help??Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........
People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!0 -
If your cycle is 28 days, the usual assumption is that you ovulate on CD14. however, it may not be true. I can suggest to start charting your temperature. I found out that I ovulate later than CD14, but my cycle is still 28 days. I got Boots basal temperature kit, which has a digital thermometer, a 'book' to graph your temperatures and a case for these. I am finding it useful. I use to notice that towards the end of my cycle my temp would be much higher and I thought I was having fever, when in the end it was part of being a woman!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Ginvzt, mind me asking how much the kit was? sounds great, i've got my chart on the computer and keep forgetting to fill it in, that coupled with forgetting to take my temp i'm doing really well so far lol.
Also, TMI I know, you taking it down below or orally?
Shelly: I tried looking on the clearblue website for that trial and couldn't find it, I guess i'm way too late huh? When the next one comes round would you let me know, and I'll see if I can work it out
Still no sign of AF, and preggie best mate is making me get my hopes up with tales of having cramps before she got her + test, lol bless!Sealed Pot:member 254

It is £12.99. Here is the link (I got it in-store) - Boots Digital Thermometer & Fertility Diary:

I thought about buying jsut thermometer and printing the sheets, but it is so much easier like this, especially with the case, so when I need to travel it goes easily in the suitcase with me! (Went to NZ, Italy, work trips...)
TMI: For the first month I did both, orally and down below.... Saw that it follows the same pattern within ~0.1 degree and decided not gonna bother. Now, alarm rings, thermometer in the moth, snooze for 30 sec and take it out when it beeps. It remembers the last temperature, so sometimes I don't even look at it. In the evening, before going to sleep, check the value and put it in the diary.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
