I haveEven though my AF started on Sunday and was really heavy yesterday, so I know we were not lucky this month and I have to wait 4 more weeks to know if we get a positive... I think today I mostly want my 9 months off the work!!!!!!

Kathy, if AF started yesterday during the day, today is CD1. CD1 is the day you wake up in full flow, if AF started at any time during the day/evening then the next day is the first day of a cycle.
Sorry if you knew this and it's what you meant, but some people seem to be confused as to what is the first day, and if one needs to monitor cycle length/luteal phase etc then it is crucial to get it right.
Hiya
Thanks for that but the first blood for me was the evening before but things started with a vengence yesterday if you know what I meanSo I am on CD 2!!!!!
Cheers

Hi, i'd like to join the ttc thread, I have been reading for a couple of weeks but not yet joined in the discussion but something has really worried me today and I don't know what to do. My partner and I decided to ttc this month, I had a rough idea of ovulation but i'm not sure whether I got it right as my cycle can be from 28-31 days. ANyway, AF due this week, nothing yet, did preg test last night and it was -ve but i think it was too early anyway.
Anyway I was away with my sister and her children at the weekend and my nephew has come out it a rash. He went to the doctors yesterday and they said it could be some allergic reaction but it could be rubella. I am now really worried- I might not be pregnant anyway but what if I am. I didn't have that much to do with my nephew at the weekend but I will have been in contact with him and we were in a caravan for the evening altogether. Does anyone have any advice?0 -

I think you can be tested to see whether you are immune to rubella. Why not speak to your GP and see if this is possible. If you are immune, you don't have anything to worry about. If you aren't and aren't pg this time round, then you can have the vaccination so that you don't have to worry in the future. If you aren't immune and are pg, then the GP will be able to advise you. Do you know if your nephew has had the MMR though as if he has its much more likely he's had an allergic reaction than rubella.0 -
Oh gosh, here I am again!! Thanks for the translation, makes it sooo much easier to follow the thread :T
AF started for me Sunday evening..it's always around the 23rd,24th,26th of the month EVERY time..will that make it easier for me to track? Does Ov occure 14days after the start of AF? Sorry to be thick but when we had our son 5years ago I came off the pill and got preg immediatley so I never had the chance to do all the temperature taking tests ect that you lot are doing!
Helen xlove my little man he is amazing :j0 -
I think he has had the MMR and he is very prone to allergic reactions to stuff, I will find this out from my sister. I think I might make an appointment for GP - just worried- i think the possibility of it being rubella is very low but I feel a bit vulnerable and I didn't really want to tell my sister about ttc just yet.0

You can get tested to check if you are immune to rubella. We did this both with OH before we started ttc as we had no idea if we were immunised or had it when we were kids!!!! At the same time we asked if we could have the full blood works and we were given that as well. My folic acid was through te roof as I have just starting taking it a week or so before the test!
I have a strange pain around what I think 'my ovaries'. It is annoying as I have no idea what it is. it is sort of pulling pain and I am afraid if I stand up I will tear (it is that sort of feeling). Not much fun!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
AF has decided to visit properly now (I'm in agony and feel really grotty ), so I guess I have my answer to yesterday's question.
Squishyclaire - hello and welcome! How long do you have to wait to find out if your nephew has rubella? Have you been vaccinated against it yourself?0 -
Hi all, have been lurking for a while. My gp decided that we must be ttc so took a blood test to see if i am immune to rubella, and despite being immunised as a child i am not immune. As i don't think i am preg i am going to get immunised.
I did just want to ask a question, it may sound very silly but there we go.
Do some people get more horny when they get preg? I just have a feeling i might be, although it could just be a want rather than reality. But i am just a lot more horny than ever before and was wondering if it could be changes due to being preg?
Thanks and hoping everyone has success.Leopardlady
