I am in my 'waiting'period. Was very tempted to go and buy the test yesterday (I know, it is too early to test). It is rather unlikely that I get positive this month, I think. My ov seems to be rather later in the month (usually around day 18-19, period is always 28-29 days). I remember reading that it is often much harder to get pg if the second phase is short. But fingers crossed!!!
And it seems that this month my body temp was growing very gradually, hard to see any peak!!! (although it did rise by 0.4 over the 3 weeks so far)

    Hi ginvzt.
I think if you have ovulated late this month you should also have AF late. As far as I am aware, the length between ovulation and menstruation should be consistent in one person from month to month. I think a person in whom this length of time (the luteal phase?) is short has it short every month, and there lies the problem...

My ov is this late every month since I started charting the temp (November 2007). We'll just have to keep trying and if nothing happens in a year talk to doctors...

We have been sort of trying since October (living apart for most of the week), had a break from April till July due to me changing jobs and we are trying again now. Fingers crossed...

Best of luck with it - others have had these problems and concieved just fine, so I'm sure it'll happen. It's just a matter of being patient. that's what I keep telling myself anyway...

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing good!:D

Mr Pink has to give a sample of his swimmers tomorrow and I am soo nervous. He, on the other hand, doesn't seen too bothered.

We have to hand it in between 11-3 and I and worried some eejit leaves it sitting for ages.

I am unsure as to what they do with it when the receive it, do they freeze it and test later or test straight away...anyone know?

P.S an update on my chubbiness.... I have now been eating healthy for what feels like eternity 2 weeks (I'd kill for a big mac:o ) But I have been good and kept up with the exercise:eek: (hate it!!!) and will continue to do so. Don't see any changes but feel less tired. If I don't notice anything I will consider slimming pills, anyone know any good ones??

Miss Pink - I would strongly advise against slimming pills. The safest and easiest way to lose weight is by eating a healthy diet, low in fat, and by increasing your excercise. Basically you need to burn off more calories than you consume. So if you increase your excercise and decrease the number of calories you eat you will eventually lose weight.

Being on a diet doesn't mean you have to go hungry, and it doesn't mean you have to eat rabbit food every day. Try looking up some low fat receipes from Jamie Oliver - he has some easy ones that taste great.

Also swapping from white bread / rice / pasta can help as you feel fuller for longer and it's better for your digestion.

Hope I don't sound like I'm preaching but slimming pills are not the way forward - especially when TTC ;)

I agree with Sarah Joanne - don't take slimming pills!!! They are not a safe and viable option. I had a friend at uni who ended up in hospital for a few months becaus of them!!!! I am not a stick either (I am 13 stone and just about 5'4 - 5'5) - but I do have an 'over-generous' top part... I lost about a stone since the begining of the year. I have joined tesco diets and it worked for me a treat. I haven't followed the diet for a about 3 months now, but I learned how mot to over-eat.

Hello All, & many congrats on the BFP angelfairy!

Update from me - Well, I think AF is definitely on the way - feel really Cr*p today, headache & backache & could cry at any&everything. Big change from yesterday when I was feeling better & more positive than I had for weeks. This is day 32, so she is right about on time, which I wasn't sure about since I def. didn't OV this cycle.

I should feel positive now, I know I should - at least as soon as she starts properly I can let the clinic know and then start OV testing at day 10 again. If nothing by day 15 then they will consider 'taking control' of my cycle with chemicals, so that I do OV and they can defrost the embies....and implant if any are viable....still seems to be so many hurdles to jump, and I'm trying to keep it together with work, friends, stepkids and of course the money side of things.

At least this cycle is already paid up - paid ages ago before we had to have a gap to get the breast lump thing sorted out. If this time doesn't work though, I don't know what we'll do as it'll mean starting the whole IVF thing again from scratch - mega-bucks! - I know we are fortunate compared with some, in that we don't have a massive mortgage and are in a position to borrow if we need to, or take longer to pay off the remaining mortgage to free up some cash, but when I started the 'baby fund' I imagined it would be to buy fun stuff like prams & cots, not all be used up in trying to get the baby in the first darn place!!!

Hope you are all having a good week.
