  • Oh Helen I know what you mean! You are right tho' - best safe than sorry, and look on the bright side - you can have wine and choccies!!!!!

I used to think 'why is it so easy for everyone else? Why can't I be 'normal'?
But since I have discovered our 'fertility issues' I've found out so many other people have problems too, that maybe 'normal' isnt so usual after all!

Don't get me wrong - it really does get me down sometimes, and I've lost count of the times I've cried over it. It's horrible to recognise the symptoms of depression in yourself and know that you can't do anything about it except 'soldier on' (can't take anything for it when TTC and if the IVF clinic got any wind of it then they'd be wary about treatment....) - thing is I know that it's just this making me depressed - if I could just get PG again and keep it this time, then I would be so happy! Even the counsellor agrees that it is 'single issue depression' (well there's a surprise!).

Hang on in there girl - we'll get there eventually!

It's interesting to hear you talking about depression FairyElephant. I definately feel that I'm dipping in and out of it recently, as I have in the past at various stressful times of my life. I think a lot of us end up with the same problem whilst ttc, and you're right, it's exactly the time where we can't get any help for it.
This is where I find this thread so useful. Not only do we have all the support of the advice that is given here, but also just writing the message is so cathartic I really think it helps. So keep typing girls! We are all the medicine we need! (I hope)
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

That is exactly my thoughts - this thread is sort of therapy :o
I have moved to a completely new area nearly 2 months ago. Started new job and left all the friends and acquaintances behind - still get a messages occasionally, but it is not the same when you can't talk in person. The new job is making me mad - i am not happy there, most people work from home, so I don't really have anyone to talk with. Well, my husband at home, but I think even he gets fed up!!!!!
So, thanks to everyone for being here!!! This forum is keeping me sane! (At least I think so...)

Thanks FairyElephant, just told fiance on the phone about what happened today. I really was hoping to avoid having to be admitted to hospital, us nurses don't like being patients, lol! Still, having spoken to fiance I feel a bit better now. I will still be here to stalk you girls though! Baby dust to everyone xx

Boooo to all these absent AF's (unless it's cos of a BFP of course!).

I'm on CD62 and desperately wanting to come on so can start this course of Clomid.

Im on CD 61... although i always get this wrong, do you count from the first day of your last AF or the last day? ho hum.

Got an appointment with the gynae consultant in August for discussion about PCOS etc.

We have been having u.p.sex since End of May, not necessarily for TTC but a case of if i have pcos and conception difficulties we might as well ditch the condoms.

I did a test a week and a bit ago and it was -ve but i think i might have tested too soon, but still no AF and more sicky feelings / lower back ache, bullet nipples etc. Might hold off another fortnight if i can.

Hardest part about taking the tests is not knowing when your due, to make you over due if you know what i mean.

Exactly! With my totally random cycle (longest has been about 80-odd days) I don't know when I'm late so to do a test. Although I have been using ovulation predictor kits, they haven't showed ovulation, but if they had then at least I'd know to test 14 days after ovulation. Am takiing BBT now, so can see WHEN i've ovulated and so know when to test - you should do this to make it easier for you to know when to test in future.

Doc is going to refer me for PCOS tests if 2 cycles of Clomid don't work. I'd rather be having it looked into at the same time but I guess it's easier for them to try me on this first just in case it works. Don't want to waste more time, been TTC for over a year now.

Ive tried BBT but im on tablets that screw with my body temprature so the results needed to be totally disregarded.

Im hoping my consultant appointment will clear up what is next, i dont want to be put on the pill to regulate my periods as it defeats the point of TTC, so im hoping clomid might help.

This all came about because my coil rejected after about 5yr and i ended up being rushed in to hospital, my periods have been almost non existant since then, ive had about 6 since the end of 06
  • Hi all, just a little bit of advice re low fat and trying to conceive, try and have at least one high fat item in your day! I prefer low carb/high fat myself, carbs make me feel ill, bloated and hungry.

Can you believe I had a faint pink line? No? Me either, cos it was only the one and has not been repeated, so putting it down to an evap (so disapointing).
I've got 6/7 days left till af. I have to say this has been the worst month for feeling bad. I'm spotty, bloated and feel blurgh! Have had af pains since at least the 13th too.

Hoping everyone gets there bfp soon! and congrats for thosw who have whoopy!! xxxxxx
