    Hello!

Just here for an update! On cd 23 out of 35, and feeling really positive. Some of you may remember that I was transferred to another site at work 4 weeks ago, well they've changed thier minds so it will be back to normal next week. This really does reduce my travelling (and stress) by half.
I've also been looking after myself, only had 1 night of drinking in a month, and have been eating very carefully. I think I've actually lost a bit of weight!

We managed to BD lots in the last week, and it was my birthday at the weekend, so I am really happy! If positive thoughts get you a BFP I should have one this month!

    Congrats Angelfairy!

Fairyelephant I hope all goes well for you next cycle, Hugs to you.

    Baby dust to all xxx

My ov is this late every month since I started charting the temp (November 2007). We'll just have to keep trying and if nothing happens in a year talk to doctors...

We have been sort of trying since October (living apart for most of the week), had a break from April till July due to me changing jobs and we are trying again now. Fingers crossed...

If you suspect a short Luteal phase, I would not wait a year to see a GP (unless of course you are not in a particular hurry). If it has been consistantly short (under 10 days and you are sure you are Ov'ing) it will be very difficult to sustain a pregnancy and is unlikely to change of its own accord. I would take your charts to your GP as soon as you are confident it is consistently short.

IMO the year wait is arbitary - problem is there has to be a line somewhere to control costs of tests/treatment. If you TTC for a year and don't get pg you do not necessily have a fertility problem, but equally waiting a year is wasting time if you have have a fertility issue which is "fixable"

PS: There are reports vit B6 may lengthen luteal phase.

Really not sure what's going on. I'm due AF around 26th, that is assuming my cycle is 31 days based on last cycle (of which I've only had one proper cycle)... anyway, I'm starting to doubt this now as today I had a bit of a show today. I thought I was getting AF early, as I felt quite bloated and crampy yesterday. Anyway have not had anything significant in terms of blood loss, would say it was more of a show. Could this be implantation?

I'm confused as I've not had any PMS symptoms only I felt a bit 'off' on Sunday and I've been a bit bloated, that's all.

Will just have to see how I get on.... I'm confused to say the least.

I am taking Pregnacare vitamins since September (well, a months or so off in between). I don't want to rush to GP with my conclusions as I never had a good experience with them (for any problems I had the answer was take ibuprofen. Even when I couldn't walk for 3 weeks!!!). Also, I have just moved to new area and started a new job. So, will give it a proper try for a few months. If nothing happens this month, I might be tempted to buy a proper ovulation monitor just to confirm it. If it will, then I'll talk to GP.... We have just registered with GP surgery yesterday and I haven't even seen the doctor yet nor do I know anything about him!!!

Ginvzt, don't give them a chance to not take you seriously. You know enough from all our experiences on here, and from your own research to know if you need to be seen differently to how you already have been. Don't be afraid to complain -it can help (recent experiences talking here).

Hopefully your new doctors will be better than your old one.

Thanks for the support - at the moment I have a very low opinion about doctors... And I don't trust them. Hopefully this one will be better. We also got Bupa cover through work now, so if there is anything I don't believe, will have to be brave and ask to be refered for consultation....

My third miscarriage was lost because of this. There was a very short gap between conception, implantation and when my AF would have been due (sorry figures are lacking). I guess the various hormones competed with each other but it took quite a while for the pregnancy to be lost.

Please go to the doctors..take your diary of your cycles including when you OV and tell them that you think there is a problem. Also remember that GPs are general practitioners and are not all specialised in this field (only one of the five doctors at my surgery understand the benefits of low dose Aspirin for recurrent miscarriages)

Don't leave it too long and good luck.

Well, was given a slap on the wrist by my Occie Health Dr at work today for TTC at the mo. I have an underlying neurological illness for which I am being treated for and my neurological consultant wants me to let him know when we want to TTC, so that he can have a plan of action to take me off of meds and get me into hospital for treatment. I guess I just got caught up in the excitement of it all and kept thinking 'I will be ok' but the doc I saw today made me realise that I'm not, and I could actually be putting my bubs at risk if I do conceive. V naughty me :( So, have made appt to see GP next week to discuss this further, and then will probably arrange earlier appt to see neuro consultant. At the mo I'm not due to see him til Oct, so maybe will bring OPA earlier if poss. Why can't I be normal like everyone else and just lay back and think of England lol?!?!? Oh well. Best to be safer than sorry, in the mean time AF is v heavy and I can carry on eating the choccie! xx
