Shelly, you're right, our health is more important. Puts it all in perspective really. From your posts it sounds as if you've got a lovely supportive partner too.

I've just started taking multivits with B-vits in. I think it's B6 that's recommended. AF this month has actually felt more normal and appeared more normal than this past 2 months, perhaps it was just stress messing with me. We'll see when I ovulate this month, really hope it's when I should and everything settles down!!
To everyone ttc - enjoy trying ... hope the tww isn't the longest 2 weeks of your lives and hoping to see some BFP's soon!!0 -
Well AF arrived last night, a little earlier than expected this month ( I was later than expected last month). I've not had too much of a stress about it this month, feeling ok. I think it's because I've decided to completely ignore the nurse's advice, and have pregnancy tests anyway. I've decided she's right that they are too expensive -so I ordered some of the cheap ones off access diagnostics, and decided to do the test a few days before my period was due. The theory behind this being that I wouldn't have had time to get myself wound up wondering if it was coming yet.
Certainly for this month it's worked. My period has come a little early (I think because I've been less stressed) and I've managed without any tears. Hubby's finding it a little hard this month though, any tips on how you keep him calm and contented?Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Wow reading this thread takes me back girls. I wish you all the luck in your ttc journeys.
We have two beautiful sons, happy and healthy, one conceived easily, the second a major rollercoaster.
After 2 ectopics, countless tests, an HSG, temping and ttc'ing madly and no luck in 12 months we turned to IVF. Very very luckily our first cycle worked and despite many scares we now have a healthy happy and damned noisy 4 year old.
I look back and read your posts and remember how our lives were so focussed on ttc...you eat, sleep and drink it. It seemed such a huge journey to get pg, stay pg, etc etc
I wish you all great luck---do your research, look after yourselves physically and emotionally and most important of all support each other.

Just wanting a bit of a moan really.
I gave in on Sat morning and did a preg test. (2days ish before AF due)It had a fain +ve line. Did another on Sun and it was a bit darker. Did another yesterday morning and it was fainter? There was only a very faint line today, could bearly see it even by holding it up to the light. Then I had my AF, really heavy and painful. If I would have waited until today or tomorrow before testing I would never have known.
I feel ok about things. Had a little cry this morning. Suppose will just try again next month.
Jiblets- I'm gonna do the same-order preg and ovulation tests on the internet.
Thanks for listening girls xx0 -
lwcus78. I'm not sure I should even post this as its not what you want to hear but it sounds to me like you have had a very early miscarriage.
I once had a very faint blue line so called my doctor and he said false positives are rare. If you have a blue line (however faint) you are most certainly pregnant.
Alot of women don't even know they have had a miscarriage as its so early and their period is on time, except its not a true period, its a miscarriage.
If you have had 3 blue lines and then a very heavy painful period i'd say that this is what has happened.
I really didn't want to post it as its what none of us want to hear when TTC but I only posted it incase your period is prolonged you might need to see your doctor if indeed this has happened.
I also found this........
False Positive Pregnancy Test Results and What Causes Them
A false positive pregnancy test is when the test says that you are pregnant but actually you are not. This is a one off case and a positive pregnancy test is a pretty good indication that you are pregnant. False positive pregnancy tests are rare - though there are instances and conditions where they can occur.
There could be various reasons for a false positive test.
Chemical Pregnancy A chemical pregnancy is basically an early miscarriage. Research has shown that half of all first pregnancies end in miscarriage. Due to the high sensitivity of home pregnancy tests, many women catch early pregnancies but end up going on to have their periods due to a chemical pregnancy.
I'm sorry, maybe I'm wrong but as soon as I read your post its what came to mind.
As I said, I didn't want to post this as it seems heartless but if it goes on for longer than normal you might need to see your doctor.
Sorry:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi Shelly,
Just wanted to say thank you for posting that.
I knew it was a early miscarrige but suppose didn't want to say it. As I said I feel ok, just a bit confused. Maybe a little guilty for not being more upset. Is it wrong that I feel slightly encouraged, I think if I conceived once I can conceive again (kind of)? I feel awful that I think that way.
Are you more likely to miscarrige on first pregnancy then? Why would that be?
I'm going to relax tonight, have a bath. We'll try again next month.
Thanks Shlley - hope u ok xx0 -

I saw you had replied but didn't want to see the reply incase you had taken it the wrong wayI'm glad you didn't and could see I only posted out of concern.
I really don't know why women are more likely to lose a first pregnancy but Iv'e heard it sooo many times. Iv'e never had it explained to me even though I lost both my first and second pregnancy.
Don't beat yourself up about thinking that as you have (most likely) conceived once you can do so again, its normal. I think it all the time even though I lost both of mine. I just keep thinking....next time it will stay put!
take care of yourself xxx:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
