    What have your experiences been?

My hubbys first sperm test results came back quite bad but that was because they had let it cool down too much. His second one was better but not 100% perfect.
So if your hubbys comes back not good, ask for another one.
Like you say though, so long as you have a few good ones things can be done these days.

The first one came back with below average results - again we think it was cooled beforehand; the second came back as average.

What we were told is that most men are never tested, so it could be that below average results are common - based on a lot of variables such as health, diet, etc

Can anyone give me some after baby making tips here? Be as candid as you like.
Do you lie with your legs up on the wall for instance or is this an old wives tale?
How long do you wait if you need a pee afterwards?

    (hugs x)

For times not near ov we don't do anything special. For the couple of days before and after ov we have an old pillow that hubby folds in half and puts under my hips/butt. I try to stay like that for 10-15 minutes.
Also there is a product you can buy called Pre seed. You put it inside you before sex and it mimics your cm and helps the sperm get to where it needs to be. You use it around ov time.
I have got some but not used it yet :o

Oh and pee before you go to bed :D

it does play a factor I'm afraid, especially with PCOS mine got better as started losing weight. Although, saying that, I haven't had one for 4 months nearly lol

Tampons also can play a role - if you insert one post-BD, it can stop the little swimmers swimming away - even if you go pee afterwards. (Sorry for gross-ness).

    Worth a shot?

Am i being really thick??? but wouldnt tissues and tampons just soak it up ... if u get what i mean:confused::confused:

I know what you mean but for me personally I don't use tissues to keep it in, I use them to catch the mess. Also I wouldn't ever use a tampon for anything other than AF. I imagine that taking out a tampon that has been used to keep the sperm in would be painful to take out because sperm wouldn't soak in like AF does.

I'm trying for no.4 (which will be my 8th pregnancy) and I forgot how obsessed we become in trying to get pregnant!

I have read that to give the sperm good chances of getting anywhere near the target, you should place a pillow under your hips for 20-30mins. However the speed in which they came out has already sent them on their way and it only takes one to fertilise the egg so I do wonder if a lot of it is psychological rather than true - thinking for example of Boris Becker and his quickie in the broom cupboard - can't imagine that she lay down for any time or tried to keep the sperm in!! In fact that reminds me of one of those myths we were told as teenagers - you can't get pregnant standing up and the response that it was completely untrue.

Lots of baby dust to everybody!
