Hiya jiblets (((HUGS))) to start with. What a toughie.
Is there any way you can 'accidentally' turn up when there are lots of other family members there - this will make conversation easier AND will mean that you won't have to stay so long 'you must be shattered, we'll get out from under your feet'.
Just a thought
Also - purposefully concentrate your efforts on the older child in a 'keeping them involved' kind of way - this means you don't have to spend too much time coo-ing over new baby.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Oh hum...day 31 for me and a BFN...
I keep getting AF symptoms but no real sign as yet...hubby is happy with the bigger boobies that I seem to have acquired at least
Good luck to all of you this month...

I'm really pleased today. AF has arrived. Now while that isn't cause for celebration given what this thread is about, however I came off the pill last month and had usual withdrawal bleed, etc, so now this is first proper AF since coming off the pill, so it's good to know my cycle is starting to kick back in now, and I can understand where I am at, if that makes sense!

CD28 for me and expecting a 30 day cycle, temp still high and have a few symptoms. Will probably test tomorrow.
Some moneysaving advice:
Sensatest 3 for £1 poundland
Unitest 2 for £1.99 Wilkinsons.
I wanted to try different brands and the packaging is different - but inside same test inside! - so don't go to Wilkinsons.
Being new to this I was shocked at how small the tests were (had trouble finding them) having only seen the POAS kind in pharmacys. Does make you wonder about all the excess packing and plastic - so also feeling quite green. Lets hope they are easy to use.0 -
Hi RiaAnn
You are on the same cycle as me - CD28 of 30 days (I think). I am not charting temps though. Have symptoms but we all know that they don't really mean much unless they are followed by a BFP!!
I am trying not to test until next Tuesday which is my 2nd wedding anniversary - a fantastic anniversary present if we get a BFP and a day of guaranteed love and cuddles if it is a BFN.
Hubby is VERY particular about wanting to be with me every time I take a test, although I am not sure if this is to stop me testing all the timeDoes everyone else have their hubby there when testing?
Fingers crossed for allplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

My OH (to be husband in October) wants to be there any time I take a test, rather than be surprised when I tell him the good news - when there is some! I must admit, it does stop me from testing as frequently as I would without him there, which is probaby a good thing as I'd have wasted a lot of tests by now.0 -
Hi Everyone,
This is my 1st post on this thread after being recommended by My Fathers Daughter.
I did a test yesterday which proved -ive! (Gutted!). My period is about a weekish late but I'm never exactly sure when it's due. I got POS which means they were always irregular before I went on the pill. I think that along with being on the pill for 8 years means I might find it difficult to conceive. Been trying since February which isn't too long anyway. I am overweight too. Everything seems to be against me.
Hope everyone else is having better luck than me.
Fun trying though eh?

:hello: Hiya jvic -welcome to TTC!
As I said on the other thread a negative doesn't necessarily mean that you are not pregnant, it may mean that there is not enough hcg (baby hormones!) to show up yet. Reading around there are lots of women who tested negative (I remember one saying 13 separate tests!!!) when they actually were pg. Then on the other end of the scale there is a lady on here today who has had her BFP (big fat positive) at just over 4 weeks!
We are all doing lots of BD (baby dancing), looking after ourselves (mostly) and keeping our fingers crossed
If I was a week late I would be like this >>> :j :j :j but then I am still relatively new to all this TTC.
Do you have any other symptoms?
Baby dust to all

Not really. Just the missed period which is the 1st one I've missed since I've come off the pill in January. I'd love to put weight gain down to pregnancy but I think that's just me getting fat!!

I'm on such a downer today. CD37 today and still no sign of AF or pg. Had mild cramping for first 3 days of this week but that has gone now. POAS just now reveals BFN. Having a pretty rubbish day at work as I have lost 2 (important) pieces of paper. I haven't left the office with them but they are nowhere, and I mean nowhere, to be found. I have even looked through the recycling bin 3 times! Grrr!0
