Thanks very much. Well my friend just came into the office and found it!! I had been photocopying a receipt earlier and needed a piece of paper behind it so it would copy with a white background - guess which piece of paper I used? :o

So anyway it's found now and that has made me feel better. I had really hoped it wasn't lost as it contained confidential info! oops!

I will wait til Sunday morning now (if i can) to test again. If still a BFN I might just write this month off and try and forget it, on the basis that it might just have been a missed AF and I'm actually into my next cycle.

Thanks for all your support though peeps, I appreciate it

Ooh me again. I think I spend my life on this thread.
My husband and I have been holding off getting a dog (even though we would dearly love one) because we worry that the dog would get jealous when the baby arrives. Now that it's getting near the one year mark without a BFP we're wondering if we should just get on and get one. We could be in this position for years...
What do you lot think/do re dogs...?

Sorry not been on for a few days, so was reading through and found this post.

I have 3 dogs 2 of which are on the large side 1 is a rottie cross & 1 a rottie. I personally am not worried at all as to how they will react because we have the benefit of them being used to babies (due to my sister having 4 & she used to spend ALOT of time at our home). They are very protective of new babies and I personally think it's the way the baby is introduced into the home.

Our plan is that if we are able to have a baby, OH will bring the babygro that is put on baby after birth home so that the dogs can have a good old sniff and get used to the smell. My dogs get full run of the house & that won't change, I know I can deal with my dogs & a newborn because I have watched all of my sisters for a few nights at a time.

I'm just rambling now, don't know if this has helped or not.

I'm really pleased today. AF has arrived. Now while that isn't cause for celebration given what this thread is about, however I came off the pill last month and had usual withdrawal bleed, etc, so now this is first proper AF since coming off the pill, so it's good to know my cycle is starting to kick back in now, and I can understand where I am at, if that makes sense!

    Onward and upward...
I'm getting quite concerned, I came off the pill 3 months ago and my cycle never changed and I didn't get a withdrawal bleed. I have seen quite a few people mention the withdrawal bleed throughout this forum and I'm starting to think theres something wrong that I didn't get this!

Hi rottiemiss. I think the withdrawal is just the first period whenever it is really, normally it comes less than cycle after coming off the pill, but I would imagine it would depend on when in your cycle you stopped taking it. Someone who completed a packet then stopped would find it different to someone who stopped a week before their period was due.
I shouldn't think it's anything to worry about though, but you can always pop to the docs if you are unsure.

Yeah, it's just the period you have when you finish your pack of pills.

I am quite surprised that AF has come quite quick. I was worried I would be waiting far ages.

Sadly I've got a splitting headache which will probably last the next few days... nice! But looking forward to plenty of up and coming BD! I've got a renewed spring in my step - mostly relief that my cycle has kicked in!

This could be my first and last... with any luck ;)

Mine has been pretty regular since coming off the pill in January but I haven't had one yet this month. It's about over a week late. Done a test but no joy.

I wish I could be that positive. I wish I didn't have to wait so long. Probably something to do with being on the pill for a while plus Polycystic Ovaries. Anyone here got any experience with that?

I have been taking medication for a while now for various reasons and last week ran out of my anti-depressants. It was too late to put in a repeat prescription as it was Friday. I was fine without them over the weekend so decided to see how I was this week without them. My moods have been fine, so I have decided not to take them. I have a nerve disorder which is from a lack of Vitamin B, so I take strong vitamin B compound, but the syptoms have this have been getting worse for the past week and it feels like I get electric shocks all through my body. I decided to do some research and found out that it is a withdrawel syptom from my anti-depressents found here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_zaps (I was on sertraline)

Anyway, getting to the TTC bit...

While I was there I decided to read up on the medication I was no longer taking, and I am so glad I did (I was wondering whether to go back on them as the 'shocks' were becoming unbearable) I read that the use of these tablets while pregnant in you first tri-mester can do serious harm to your baby, with different kinds of birth defects and disabilities. I also decided to read up on tramadol as I am taking those as well and found that they could have serious or fatal side effects to newborns. I have decided to go to my doctor and tell him that I refuse to take these medications and that I feel he should have warned me as soon as he knew I was TTC.

I just thought I would post this on here to urge anyone who is taking any form of medication to go to wikipedia and read up on it. Even if it only states about when you're pregnant, I just hated the thought of not realising I was pregnant and doing some serious harm to my baby in the early stage of pregnancy.

Ok, long post over, I hope it helps someone.

Be careful! As I'm sure you know, it can be dodgy to come straight off anti depressants (not that I know anything about yours specifically). I know that my mother has been coming off hers for a month or two under the direction of the doctor, sometimes it's best to be patient and get it done in a way that won't do you any harm...

    Good luck with it.:j
