£9.38 in Aldi on coffee, a pineapple, porridge oats, orange juice, chick peas, onions and four cans of cider (:o justified by the weather forecast for the weekend:))
I have planned for the rest of this week and have enough HM ready meals (or leftovers!) in the freezer to see us through next week which is great because I'm back at work and don't need to cook and I don't need to do a big shop. I'll probably need fruit and a few salad bits after the weekend but that should be it. I'm going to try and hold off doing a big shop until a week on Friday.

Hi all, may I join?
I have been reading this thread on and off for a few months.
We are a family of two adults, two children, two cats, two dogs and two guinea pigs! I bulk buy the pet food through TopCashBack, so should be o.k. for a while.
We currently have an overdraft hovering around £1200. It is starting to really irritate me so I have decided to cut back for a few months to get the account back into credit.
I am going to aim for £350 for June.
My month will run from 3rd June to 1st July.
Should be £70 per week.
Good luck everyone0 -

Hello
I would like to join please, I have missed the last couple of months and my bank balance and waistline knows it!
We move house next weekend and I have been running down the cupboards and freezer and we don't have a great deal left in. I have no meat left but 2 bags of quorn mince and a bag of pieces.
Please can you put me down for £450 for June? This is £100 more than I want to spend on a normal month with the extra to cover the restocking of the freezer and store cupboard items and the odd takeaway/easy meal when we are up to our necks in boxes. Our sellers are leaving us a large upright freezer :T
We have agreed that we are changing our diet once we have moved and settled in so will be replacing items with some organic and clean eating alternatives that may cost us a little more as we refill the cupboards but should be able to be done in budget going forward. I am GF already so already have a few clean staples.
There are 2 adults an 1 child who mostly is fed at childcare. 4 fish and a small dog. The budget is to cover food, booze, toiletries, cleaning, laundry. dog food. fish food and household bits and bobs.
So far this month (31st May to 29th June) I have spent £31.80/£450.
Tonight I am making pork, apple and sage meatballs with a jar of sauce and brown rice noodles from the cupboard. I am also going to rustle up a quorn chicken curry (jar) and a veggie and green lentil chilli (all cupboard/fridge) to keep us fed over the next few days.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

I would like to join in please.
I a, lucky in that I have no debt but I am spending far too much so it's time to get a but more savvy. I will keep a spending diary and tighten the belt a bit.
Aiming for £200 this month for two adults and one very fussy cat. To include toiletries and cleaning materials.
I am going to try and use cash only and see if this helps.
Started Sunday, so far spent £53 but am well stocked up.0 -
First June spend for me yesterday at Aldi, was more than we usually spend, but needed things like dishwasher tablets, loo rolls, cat food, shower gel etc also things we didn't 'need' ie wine, steak, biscuits etc
Spent £62.36
What I have realised is that we will save a fortune in food when DS goes to Uni in September, a quick tot up shows I spent £8 this week purely on snack stuff for DS's lunch boxes, this doesn't count the 'normal' weeks food
In theory, I will save the same amount as one weeks shopping per month - I,m sure he will make up for that on his return at ChristmasNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
First spend of June £3-48, just cold meats for salads.Do I need it or just want it.0

I'm in again please
