Another NSD today as I've been working all day. Work ran over (self employed/work from home) BUT instead of reaching for the takeaway menus I baked some salmon fillets and we had that with steamed veg. I also made a tea loaf with store cupboard ingredients. Feeling quite smug even if I'm only on day four lol! We shall seeGrocery challenge June 2016

Evening folks
Spendy day today. Went to butcher and spent £90.72 which is a big dent in my bulk buy fund but definitely necessary
Then £stretch = £3.88 and Mr T = £28.67, so £32.55 out of GC on mainly stock cupboard things such as ground-nut oil, truvia, golden syrup etc, but also some fresh fish, milk and yoghurts.
Need to go to A*di t/m for usual veggies, fruit and pack-ups stuff.
Hope you all have a super Saturday

4 chicken fillets
6 chicken thighs
Pack of pork mince
Pack of diced beef
My local small Mr T's reduces things to 90% off at around 7:30 most nights, so a couple of times a week I go and see what there is. Mostly it's just bread and veggies and ready made sandwiches that are heavily reduced, but every now and again there'll be some meat or fish - I just got lucky with it last night0 -

That's fantastic! I thought I was doing well getting a pack of diced chicken for 97 p! I don't have any large supermarkets near me, which really sucks. I wish I could get the good yellow sticker offers!NST June 2016 No. 11June Grocery Challenge: £85.66/£120

Can I join please, albeit a few days late! I am aiming for £300 for June (4th - 27th), for myself, DH, 1 house rabbit and 1 hamster. I have checked my receipts over the last few months and the amount of money we are spending on groceries, eating out & takeaways is obscene. So new start from today - grocery spend will include toiletries, cleaning products and animal care expenditure. Takeaways & Eating Out will come out our weekly pocket money of £20 each.
Weekly shop yesterday cost £26.70 but need to call for toilet rolls & kitchen rolls today as too expensive yesterday, will only take enough cash for expected cost.
