I bought my husband an x box 360 last christmas through quidco after seeing a tip on this site to order from Great Universal, through quidco thus receiving cash back on the total purchase from quidco plus 20% off first order from great universal - good idea in theory !

I got the x box with 20% off but the cashback was never paid and only last month did I give it up as a bad job (11 months later) - I tried quidco they just kept getting me to wait another 30/60 days for it to show on my account and I then tried great universal - who had never heard of Quidco !!!! I persued the great universal line and they finally said that they are linked to another shopping site called something like amadeus or something and if I had previously looked at the xbox 360 on that site then the chances are they have paid that company and not Quidco !!!

I told them that i had gone straight to Quidco as it was recommended on this site and that I didn't compare prices anywhere else as I had been looking around for ages and knew the lowest price I had seen was £300 therefore I jumped to it before the offer went.

They all insisted there was nothing they could do, I paid the balance off within a month of the purchase as I hate catalogues and I won't even enter into the problems I had with Great Universal when i wanted to close the account.

Good luck - I think I have had my day with the cashback sites, Greasy palm standards have slipped too !!!!!!
  • My enquiry is still "awaiting processing".
Has there been any quidco enquiries about the AA declined earnings that have been successful in getting the status changed to validated?

Logged back on to Quidco today. My enquiry is now "being processed". More to follow but don't hold your breath (unless you're Tanya Streeter!) :o

Any results for anyone else
  • I logged an enquiry with quidco a while ago as my purchase for european cover didn't track at all, and just had ticket updated to being "added" - this normally happens when an enquiry is successful!
Doesn't give any indication as to when payment will be made but hopefully one step closer !
Will report back after any change,
    . FEB GC £255.82£240 :mad::mad::mad:

    APRIL GC 237.84/ £230 :(:(:(
MAY GC £296.10/£ 270 (5 week month !)

I bought car insurance from the AA in February via Quidco. I think should have been about £60 back. I queried it with Quidco and since then the status has just been 'sent to merchant'. So it's not a new problem. Not sure if I should follow it up any more though...

My sureshop enquiry went to sent to merchant today almost 2 months now another 2-3 months before i get a reply. LOL quidco is a joke i cant belive they are still in business they are the worst cashback comoany i have ever come across what good is it if they say thei pay out 100% commision and half your transactions fall trough. i would rather get 50% commision and have all my transactions go trough smoothley and better customer services.
    Lets not use quidco
  • I can't believe the response I've received from Quidco to my enquiry. To summarise, I bought the AA breakdown cover as a gift for my girlfriend and was due cashback of over £20. I had to use her address and details on the AA web pages so it was her covered. When the cashback was first declined I supplied details of the transaction explaining why the AA would have different details to the Quidco account. This is the pathetic response I received today:

"Hi there, I'm afraid that as the terms and conditions of Quidco state that accounts are for individual use only (http://www.quidco.com/help/25/), we won't be able to support this enquiry. If your friends and family wish to take advantage of the cashback that Quidco offers, please ask them to register their own accounts. Kind regards, Quidco"

I bought the breakdown cover with my credit card (in my name), registered at my address, so how does this breach any terms? It's outrageous and down-right deceitful by Quidco !!!

They closed the ticket. So how do I challenge this ?

You were in breach of Quidco rules because you bought the insurance in your girlfriends name. I don't see what Quidco have done wrong in declining your claim.
    Gone ... or have I?
