I had a similar problem with Quidco over insurance taken out with Barclays. I took the policy out in September 2006 and it tracked. I waited and waited for it to be declined, I submitted a ticket, provided the policy numbers and waited again. Now it has been a year but I'm not giving up, I had to provide details a few times and I'm still waiting, I raised another ticket when they closed the original one as it was the most expensive policy I could get prior to cashback which was £100 (the policy was £265) and so after cashback it was the cheapest. On a limited budget this seemed the better offer so I took it.
I'm not giving up, Quidco has it's commission and has charged me £5 for the privilege of what exactly? Most of my betting cashback has been cancelled as well so I'm very fed up. I had a third enquiry for Barclays yesterday for the policy number so fingers crossed. I didn't take out the policy this year as it jumped to almost £400 for renewal.
I will let you all know if I'm sucessful but I hope by being persistant and not going away I might get the cashback due.
Good Luck all:A :

My enquiry was "sent to merchant" for a long while, but now it says "unsuccessful". I can't understand why - it tracked originally so it can't be that I didn't do it properly, and I didn't use any other offer or site so that can't be it either. What do I do now? How can I discover the reason for the lack of cashback? If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0

Almost three months after I submitted the enquiry I had a response (if you can call it that!) from Quidco...
Hi There, Unfortunately your enquiry has been unsuccessful. The following types of reasons can be given for denied transactions. The transaction:- (1) Had returned products (2) Failed a credit check (3) Failed payment (4) Was cancelled by the merchant (5) Failed to pass the merchant's fraud check (6) Was not a genuine transaction (7) Was awarded to a competing cookie from another website. Commission can also be declined if the transaction has been attributed to a different marketing channel or if you have used a special link or voucher code. Also, please ensure you clear cookies before using Quidco to ensure transactions are not credited to a different internet site. Kind regards, Quidco
None of the seven reasons apply to me, it makes me wonder if they even investigated the matter at all! The also closed the enquiry immediately without letting me respond. I've re-submitted the enquiry and am going to continue to pursue the issue. Very annoying, I will never be using them again that's for sure...0 -

Same response for me 2 days ago. I paid £95 for joint membership. I opted for the monthly continious cover though so I'm going to ring to cancel it.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Same happened to my Quidco account today..... have come to the conclusion this whole cashback thing is yet another con of everyday people like us by the big fish out there... getting away with it as usual because the system lets them. Wish I knew for sure whether Quidco ever got my commision or whether the AA genuinely didn't pay up... either way someone else's pockets are unlawfully lined with my hard earned money with no way of me getting it back...... oh well.... I think we should all make sure we call the AA out for things we wouldn't normally bother with.... I'm sure we can cost them far more than the £25 they've stolen from us in this way! And as for Quidco... don't believe any of the offers it claims to provide.....0 -
i'm still waiting for result from my tracked then declined enquiry. 5 months now... same old story. grumble grumble... quidco... pah... etcFriendly greeting!0

I can't complain. Getting over £200 back this month from a contents and car insurance policy. Also took out buildings separately which didn't track but this has now been sucessful and added so another £85 on its way. The only one I have ever had fail to track was American Express who just appeared to ignore by appeal still sitting open after 2 years.0
