Took a digital test this morning just to confirm and it was positive (see how well I did at not thinking about it and waiting until the weekend! :rotfl: ).

Millie I'm afraid I've no idea how to edit the 1st post.

So tested again with frer (what a mission trying to find one :mad:) & it was bfn. Only to be expected I guess, but my hormones still feel like they're all over the place. And I'm still getting spotting (albeit it a lot lighter), a little bit worried about it now tbh ...

angel is it possible your period was in fact implantation bleeding? If so I think it can take a few days for the Hcg levels to rise enough for a hpt.

Midget I'd thought about that, but it's now 4/5 days since AF arrived, so I would've expected to see bfp by now

I'm so confused right now. Ovia says I'm not due to test for another 3 days and AF is not due for another 4 days but I've just been to the loo and wiped and it looks like AF had announced her arrival early. Unlike last month when she was late.

Why is TTC so god damn cruel. I know women who can conceive without trying and without really wanting to. It's so unfair, when all my OH and I is to have our own child.

Sorry for sounding bitter, I'm just so fed up with getting bad news every month

I'm sorry Butterfly it really is so so difficult, and I think the bitterness is unfortunately part of the the package sometimes - I know I certainly get bitter at the amount of people I hear of who seem to get pg at the drop of a hat & without trying. I think that's why I appreciate this forum so much.

Butterfly - I really feel for you as this was exactly me a week ago. I had brand new symptoms and was convinced I was pg. I am on month 3 now so have been monitoring any changes really closely, but you probably find before I was TTC I had those same symptoms before AF and never even noticed them. I also remember having AF start early or late and it never even crossing my mind it could be pg related. Now I know what to look out for its a lot harder. At least you can get to your fertile week a bit sooner. TTC does make life seem very unfair sometimes. xx

I am so grateful for this thread and for everyone in it. Being able to come here and vent is really what's keeping almost sane. It's so reassuring to know that I'm not the only person going through this.

I've decided I'm going to delete Ovia and just monitor my cycle based on what my body's doing. I've been obsessing over what Ovia predicts and believing what it's been telling me whenever I record my symptoms.

Oh well onwards and upwards ladies, today's the start of a new cycle. I'm off to a wedding at the weekend so at least I can let my hair down a bit and have a few wines without feeling guilty xx
