I'm having a bit of a down day today :( started clear blue digital opk on CD10 which was last Monday ( to follow SMEP) and Bding every 2nd day. I'm now on CD18 and my 3rd day of flashing smiley faces. I know from back in Feb that a flashing smiley means nothing for me as I never got my solid face then I had a 122 cycle! I'm terrified that this flashing face won't turn solid again!

My glow app is showing my fertile window just now, basing it on my cycle previous to the long one which was 38 days but also it was brought forward by recording a high test on Sunday.

I'll be so upset if nothing at all happens this month :(

Since a couple of people wanted to see, let's see if this link works - Saturday's test. Didn't take a pic of the earlier one.

I'd say it's worth you testing again Angel. First response are on BOGOF at Boots btw.

Clarabell it's really common to have tons of flashing smiley days before a peak test. Try not to be too disheartened by it just yet, what is your cm telling you? SMEP says if you never get a peak to just continue eod.

angel I have no blinking idea. What day should af have actually come? Do you know how many dpo you would be today? Maybe test again in a week?

Big that's a bfp in my book - congratulations!!

AF was due Sat/Sun. I think I'm maybe about 14dpo, but that could be out by a few days either way cos I wasn't tracking. My head's telling me to wait & maybe test again in a few days, but I'm so impatient I'm not sure I'll be able to hold out that long lol.

Hey ladies. Now that my head is screwed back on a bit I wanted to share a couple of things I've learnt from my chemical preg in the hope they may help spare someone else the heartache. Obviously it's up to you but these are things I wish someone had told me!!

    1) Do not test before 14DPO, or later if you can. I know we all do this but almost all chemical pregs happen between 2-3 weeks after ov, and often earlier. Most women don't even know they have one as AF comes basically on time and you'd only know if you tested early. Now that tests are so accurate we test so so early but then you get the joy and then the pain. I tested at 14DPO but will now never ever test again until AF is a week late. I know I still would have been pretty certain, but it's not the same as truly believing it.

    2) Don't use a digital test until much later. This was my biggest mistake. In a chemical preg the HCG levels do not go up properly as implantation does happen right, so even at 14dpo the test is likely (not def) to be faint. If I'd used a cheapie I would have seen this and been much much more cautious, but I used a digi (that ironically I'd been saving!) and it just said "pregnant", so we got way too excited. So def not using those again!!

Sorry this is a bit negative but really hope this maybe helps spare some of you the horrible situation we went through xx

  • Big, I second that, that is a definite BFP. Congratulations. There's no mistaking that cross.

Thanks for doing the list Angel.
