Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13

Started the cheap OPKs yesterday. I am going to stick them to a piece of paper so I can see the progression if it gets darker and whatnot. Annoyingly I am away for a friends 4 day long hen weekend right when I am due to OV so I may miss the window this month but will be interesting to see if the OPKs are accurate and try and hit the window in September (not making any plans all month haha).

A very early lists update today as I have a busy day planned. We have someone viewing the house after lunch so this morning will be spent cleaning and tidying (not very optimistic about them, sounds like they are just coming for a look but it won't do us any harm having a good clean!). Then this afternoon I'm seeing a friend and tonight I'm having a catch up over the phone with another friend. Add into the mix that OH is not very well at the moment, means it will probably be 10pm before I know it!

I feel like the days are dragging this cycle! I suppose it doesn't help that my cycles are longer (35 days the last 2 months). I'd love it if I wasn't TTC mind hahaha

Good luck with the viewing!! I know I don't really feel like it's a tww I feel like it's a 4 week wait every month lol.
I'm alot more patient this month tho!!

I had a job interview today - it went really well. My only question is how will the react if I get the job and turn around and say surprise I'm pregnant! It’s an internal job so I will still be on continuous employment and be able to get maternity benefits etc so that’s not a problem.

Obviously it may not happen any time soon but just wondering on if I should still go for it even though TTC? I didn’t tell them this in the interview of course!

I really dont want to sound negative but please dont put your life on hold TTC. It took us over two years to get pregnant (not including my MC). If you take the job and then conceive soon after , things will all work out.

Thanks Munchkin84, that's what I was thinking, I just think I needed to hear it from someone else.

What will be will be as they say, I guess everything happens for a reason.

I agree, if a promotion comes up at work I!!!8217;ll definitely be going for it.

There was a possibility of it happening at the beginning of the year, around the same time I came off the pill. The role didn!!!8217;t go ahead in the end but if it had and I hadn!!!8217;t gone for it I would be kicking myself now, 8 months later and still not pregnant.
