So I've been at a family bbq today & my cousin announced she's pregnant -6 weeks.
I've been trying to put a brave face on all day, now I've got a killer headache.
All I've had since is when are you having one, why aren't you pregnant yet, your lagging behind etc etc. I could have just screamed & cried!.
Other than that, fertile week started yesterday.0 -
Aww skimper, hope you're okay! My mum asks me every time I see her am I pregnant yet - she doesn't know we're TTC.
I was out with friends last night and drove (for the first time ever) so naturally had a lot of questions and a lot of sure just leave your car here, come on etc.
How do you all deal with that?
Symptom spotting has gone crazy lol, so much for being more relaxed this month. I have a serious amount of spots on my forehead (I did get a couple last month, but this month it's a lot) and crazyyyyyy vivid dreams. Should be testing this time next week!Debt Free as of December 2020 👏

CCJ, a couple of our closest friends have guessed we are TTC because of changes weve made - me drinking less and driving more, weve started to have holidays in Europe when we would usually go to places where Zika is a risk etc. I dont mind too much because it is nice to be able to talk about it and one of them has been through it herself a couple of times.
Im finding it so hard to keep it from my mum. We are really close but I dont want her to get her hopes up and I dont want any extra pressure.0 -
That's exactly how I feel with my mum gingersarus. A few people in my family have had problems conceiving and had to have IVF so that's why I don't really want anyone to know.
Will this be your first?Debt Free as of December 2020 👏

I have only told my two nans were trying. My one nan had trouble with miscarriages ect so she knows what its like to be constantly asked so she just gets it.
We have told one of our friends but only because they had fertility trouble and ending up needing IVF and I was looking for advice again she has been fantastic hasn't asked me once since we told them in July but has been a mountain of advice when I've needed it.
I have banned my husband from telling my MIL as I know she would be on my case constantly. She already causes me enough issues I dont need her adding to this as well.

Skimper, those types of questions can be so frustrating and upsetting. Sadly I think when people have no experience or knowledge of couples facing infertility or reoccurring loss then they are not very tactful in their curiosity!
CCJ, I find having an excuse is best. So for example I was retaining so said we want to have a baby in the next couple of years but won!!!8217;t be anything until my training was finished, that bought us a year! Now we are hoping to move, to that!!!8217;s the next !!!8216;reason.!!!8217; The no drinking when out is abit more difficult, medication or lack of money could be an excuse, although I know they are the ones often used so people tend to get suspicious anyway!
I had my appointment at the hospital this morning to investigate the bleeding after BDing. All is ok, no abnormal cells, just the cervical erosion that my GP spotted and is totally normal. He offered to burn the cells but said they don!!!8217;t recommend it if TTC as there is a small chance it could cause complications if I then got pregnant so I declined. I have also been to see my GP today and she!!!8217;s referred me for blood tests, which is the first step of checking fertility. I have to do 2 tests, one when I start my period and one around CD25, then await the results. So it will be a few weeks before I get any results but it is good to know that the process has began!0 -
Yea that is a plan PKK. I've got a good one in mind too!
That's good news with the no abnormal cells. Hopefully the results will come back quickly.

Yes were trying for our first. Weve been through a lot of excuses already - buying a house, getting married, changing jobs, travelling, moving house again. Im struggling to think of new ones!
Yes people arent very tactful sometimes. The other day I got a comment along the lines of ‘I hope youre not getting broody’ from a lady that I help out a lot at work. Shed seen a pregnant lady showing me some presents shed been given and she obviously has no idea so I just laughed it off but it is difficult.0 -
Aww I know but they really don't mean any harm!
Anyone used the clear blue fertility monitor before? Thinking of treating myself to one if AF arrives this monthDebt Free as of December 2020 👏
