Hi all,

Lavender, the thought of potentially having alcohol over Christmas does make me feel a little bit better!

Slothsocks, I am very much like you, I need to feel like I'm doing something to help and give myself the best chance but in doing that I've made things worse and ended up with such a slim chance for this month. My way of coping now with this disappointment is hoping that there is some reason that this month won't be ours (or at least very unlikely!) and to try and keep myself busy in waiting for AF to come!

Aw Dot, you're entitled to rant, this process is very frustrating. You mustn't blame yourself for trying to take some control. Sometimes it's difficult to know what to do for the best, and even when things go right, there's no guarantee.

AFM, temp stayed high this morning so I'm pretty sure I'm 3DPO. I know you're meant to wait for 3 raised temps, but with all the other symptoms it's quite likely. I think we timed things pretty well, but we've timed things perfectly many times before and nothing...

Dot control (or at least perception of control!!) is all we have right now. This TTC business is hard and sometimes we just need to have a rant xx

I know what you mean sloth I always think I've done it right but who knows? Im very anxious already for next week.. eek.

Good evening everyone

Wow there are many BPF since my last posts, congratulations and here's to a happy and healthy 9 months .

It's now nearing the 3 year mark since TTC #1 (2 years and 7 months) - we are labelled 'unexplained infertility', we went to the GP last month and they can't do anything until the 3 year mark so we are now considering the private route. I just don't want to wait with the possibility of the GP saying we aren't eligible for treatment under the NHS (I've been reading that they are making cuts ) or if we are eligible that there will be a 1 year wait.

We've been to a free opening evening at a fertility clinic and we are due to go to another next month (didn't really want to choose the one and only place we'd been to for some information, plus it's a newish clinic so unsure how successful they really are). I think we will try IUI first and then if nothing, move on to IVF (if we can afford it). If we aren't successful then hopefully we may be able to get some help from the NHS.

I don't think any ladies here are this far down the line yet? If you are or considering going down this path, I'd love to hear your comments and experience!

Yesterday before we DTD, I asked my OH why we're bothering with all this as it will be a BFN anyway - it feels like a chore, I miss the spontaneity of it all *sigh*

Onwards and upwards...hope everyone is ok x

^ it's a thread were the members are all people who have been trying for a long time (over a year) many of the posters on there have had fertility treatment of one kind or another. So it would be a good place to ask about it.

Hi again LilyRose I think the few here at mo are under a year at the mo. I'm so surprised at the 3-year thing with the GP I always thought it would be like over a year or something that's quite scary.
