Evening all! Hope everyone's doing well, hugs to those who need them.

I'm feeling pretty happy right now- I had my 2nd fertility appointment and the consultant was really happy with my weight loss. She's starting me on 50mg of Clomid, with the option to increase it and add Metformin as well depending on how I react to it. They're also gonna do full monitoring for the first cycle, with tracking scans on CD10, 14 and 24 as well as Day 21 bloods. All in all, pretty chuffed!

Chelle, you can definitely get signs of ovulation without actually releasing the egg- I've had several cycles where I've had a few lots of EWCM. Can I ask, how long do your cycles tend to be? Coz that can happen if the ovaries gear up to ovulate, but for whatever reason back down and have to try again.

That's excellent news, really pleased for you! Do keep us posted.

That's interesting to know. My cycles can vary from 26-36 days, but usually 28-32. I just always assumed as I had signs and then had a period that I had definitely released an egg, but maybe that's not always the case.

  • So AF is now 4 days late. I was 4 days early last month.
2 negative tests (a cheap one on AF due date and a first response a couple of days later)
    What is going on?
It's driving me insane. I really don't think I'm pregnant but where is AF???
Judging by my grumpiness, bursting into tears and chocolate inhalation I though it was coming a couple of days ago but no, that would be too nice and predictable.
    Sorry, rant over
  • Hi everyone! I'm here for your help. I'm looking for affordable surrogacy. I can't carry a baby because I had uterine cancer in the past. Surrogacy my last option to have a baby. I'm new to it so I don't know exact costs. But I've heard it's very expensive. Maybe there are cheaper options somewhere? We are ready to go abroad. What are risks? I will appreciate any information about costs and process itself. I hope you'll help me to know more about the process. I'm lost and I have no idea where to start.

Evening all, hope everyone is ok.

Just got back from a weekend away visiting hubby's family. Mostly nice and relaxing and we did treat ourselves to one night in a spa hotel which was really lovely. Had a bit of an awkward time with hubby's sisters who were questioning us about when we were going to have children but we just sort of shrugged it off with "it'll happen when it happens". We don't see then very often and they are both younger and I can appreciate they just aren't aware of how difficult it can be, but it is hard to know what to say.

Munchkin keeping fingers crossed for you. Do you know exactly when you ovulated or could you have ovulated a bit later this month? Hope you get an answer soon, keep us posted.

Welcome TomaTomaH, I am sorry to hear that you can't carry a baby, that must be really difficult. I'm afraid I have absolutely no knowledge about surrogacy myself but I do wish you well on your journey.
  • Sounds like a lovely weekend Chelle , I've just had a week off work which has been lovely.
I don't know if/when I ovulated this month as I didn't do any opk as I'm trying to relax about it all a bit (which clearly I can't do, I know too much about my cycle now-wish I didn't really)
I might buy a test tomorrow and do it Tuesday if I still haven't come on.

Glad you have had a nice week off work :)

I know what you mean about knowing too much about your cycle. My mum suggested we just try to relax and not think about it, but when you know all of the signs you can't not try hitting ovulation!

I have everything crossed that this is your month.
