Hello ladies!
I'm currently on CD29, and getting excited for our next fertility appointment on Thursday. I'm also really nervous though- in order to get my Clomid prescribed, she told me I had to get to a BMI of 35. And I got there, I actually got to like 34.6. For one bloody day!
Then it went back up by like 2-3lbs, and right now I'm currently 1lb over where I need to be with 4 days to go. And that's without taking into consideration that AF is likely to be due in a few days meaning water weight will be added on top, plus I may just need to eat/drink before my appointment (it's at 3:25pm).
I'll explain to her about the water weight, but I'm just afraid if it's nearer to 36 than 35, she won't give me the Clomid. It's already been 5 months since I last saw her, I just couldn't bear it if she turned me away again after I've been trying so hard
Oh no Spooney that's frustrating! I'd imagine if you are that close (e.g only a 1lb over) it would be very unfair to not prescribe it! I hope it all goes well and if in doubt be a food angel over the next 4 days.Swagbuckling since Aug 2016 - Earnings so far.. £55.0 -
Thanks Zeni
Everyone I've talked to about it has thought they should take it into account, especially since I've clearly made the effort- I've lost nearly 2 stone since I last saw the consultant. I just don't want to chance it, you know?
I'm thinking of doing an egg fast for the next few days, it's meant to be a good way to kickstart weight loss when it's stalled. I only want to lose enough to get my pills, so around 2.5-3lbs.
I'll keep you all posted!0 -

Hi Spooney. Congratulations on your weight loss, that is a great achievement. I think (and would hope) that they will acknowledge the fact that you have lost 2 stone if you were a pound or two over. I know my weight fluctuates by at least a couple of pounds at any time due to water retention so I'm sure they will take that into account.
Good luck and keep us posted!0 -

Hi everyone, sorry for going AWOL for a bit...
So basically, my HCG levels rose but not by what my doctor considered to be enough, so had more blood tests (have had a million puncture wounds in my arms it feels like!). Then found the levels had plateaued, was sent to the hospital for further investigation and on Wednesday, my doctor basically said chem pregnancy and to expect bleeding in the next few days. Sure enough, started on Friday.
I'm still a bit shocked by it all to be honest and don't really know how to feel. Think I need to take some time to process it. I think the fact I'd been waiting and waiting to figure out what was even going on helped in a way, because when we found out about the HCG levels, my partner and I didn't get too excited - I think we already had a feeling it wasn't going to end well by that stage anyway.
It's a bit painful, in all senses, but I guess I just have to chalk it up to experience not much else I can do really. I'm going back to my GP at the end of the week but until then I'm going to just try not to think about it too much.
Thanks for everyone's support on this, it's been a really odd month but I've really appreciated how nice everyone has been amidst all of my confusion.0 -

Hi Katey, nice to hear from you. I'm so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. I have been there myself so can totally understand how you feel. Make sure you look after yourself and allow yourself time to grieve. Feel free to send me a PM if you want to chat x Your cycles may go straight back to normal, but mine took 3 months to settle back down so just be aware that might happen but is perfectly normal.
I will take you off the list for now and let me know if/ when you want to go back on.0 -

Thank you Chelle, means a lot x
I'll be back soon hopefully, just going to take some time until things settle.0 -
Morning all. I had a bit of a meltdown this morning triggered by a pregnancy announcement from a family friend I grew up with. I am of course pleased for her but it wasn't planned. Her and her husband are very happy about it, but she is younger than me, and her sister is younger still and had a baby in May and I can't help but feel left behind.
Then after the disaster that was the fertility massage I tried to book an appointment with the Doctor this morning only to be told it wasn't urgent so I would have to wait at least 3 weeks. After being on the phone for over an hour I think the triage paramedic felt sorry for me and managed to negotiate them releasing an appointment for me for Thursday. I know that is good but Thursday seems like a long way off and I just feel nobody is taking me seriously. Meanwhile I just feel like I have put my life on hold for the last year and I'm trapped in this vicious circle of getting myself so worked up about everything that it's not helping, but it's not something I just can't think about. I have also had various events that have passed my by these last couple of months that I was sure I would be pregnant at. My due date of November is also fast approaching and I'm dreading it.
Sorry for the rant, just felt like I needed to vent.0 -
Hello ladies, sorry for going radio silent for so long
Chelle I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling at the moment. Don't ever apologise for ranting, we've all done it and it's one of the great things about this thread. It gives us all a safe space to let our feelings out among people who understand our struggles. Rant away! We're all here for you and sending you the biggest hugs!!
Well my weird lump appears to be sorted. TMI warning. It burst (gross I know!) before I could get a Dr appointment. So I requested a phone appointment and the Dr basically said if the lump has gone and there's no further pain then it's probably nothing to worry about. I just need to keep an eye out for it coming back. But, of course, we completely missed OV because of it. I'm so sick of missing whole months because of stupid medical issues!!
I've ordered some really cheap OV sticks from amazon so I can justify doing them every day for the whole month so we definitely don't miss OV anymore.
Katey I'm so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy, sending big hugs your way
Hope everyone else is doing ok0
