Thanks - its just feeling very uncomfortable. We will see!

I had my first acupuncture this afternoon and the acupuncturist was great. As I was in the waiting room there was a woman who had just come out and was telling me how she had PCOS and fairly regular periods but the eggs weren't actually making it out as such, which is one of the concerns for me.
She went to this lady for acupuncture for her first after 3 years of trying and fell within 6 months, had been trying for no2 for 8 months, went back for more acupuncture and caught again within 8 weeks - she's 12 weeks now and still going.
Thank you letters and pictures all over the wall so all seems hopeful.
Because my left fallopian tube is potentially compromised (because of the growth of my endometriosis around it) she concentrated on the right to make sure eggs are maturing well.
I'll be going weekly for 3 months so we will see how it goes, but it wasn't painful really, a little jolt when one or 2 went in and I could feel them coming out, but no pain as such.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Well I know that I have only been here 5 minutes but I got a BFP just over a week ago but am not celebrating until I know more as I have been bleeding on and off since.
I can be seen in a unit for early pregnancy in a week or so's time but they won't see you until 6 weeks plus so just waiting for an appointment - apparently if you are pregnant a heart beat would show at 6 weeks thats why.
I feel like I am in limbo. I don't know either waybut my gut thinks its not good tbh. I had a miscarriage in 2013.
BFP was 24/03/2017
Sorry to be a downer....
Samtoby I'm so sorry to hear this. I had an early MC about 4 weeks ago and hope I can give some advice from my experience (I hope you don't mind, I know this is a difficult and emotional time). Firstly, although it's hard, try not to worry and try to stay as relaxed as possible. Have you taken another pregnancy test? If it is still positive that's a really good sign. My hGC levels dropped really quickly and once I started bleeding it just got progressively heavier. Also have you been to A&E? I was only 5 weeks but they were brilliant. They saw me within 45 mins even though it was really busy and they checked to see if my cervix was still closed and they did a blood test which I got the results to the following morning. Don't feel you can't seek medical advice just because it's very early because this is not the case.
Above all, and whatever happens look after yourself, and fingers crossed all is well.
Kirstypoos glad all went well with the acupuncture. I've heard nothing but great things. My cousin who tried for 7 years and who had my goddaughter at the age of 38 swears that was the game changer, so I hope it is for you too.
I hope everyone else is ok. I'm still waiting for CD1 following the MC. Just want it to be here now so we can look forward and start trying again.0 -
Fingers crossed for you samtoby, I know it's a worrying time. X
Glad the acupuncture went well Kirstypoos. It's something I've thought about but not done yet.0 -
Hey samtoby, sorry you're in limbo. Fingers crossed all ok. My SIL bled in both pregnancies early and both turned out fine. Stay hopeful......TTC #3..........0

Thanks. I do hope you are recovering ok. Its a horrid horrid experience. I have called the Dr and she said that I must keep an eye on the bleeding and pain. It is just on and off so one day it appears quite a lot and then the next its nothing. Thats what I am finding so odd. The Early Pregnancy unit will see me next week hopefully to confirm whether I have indeed miscarried or if anything is 'there' but they did say that its so hard so early - as heartbeats don't appear until 6 weeks so to go away with no heartbeat can also make you feel like you are not sure of the end result. I get that. I can see me being there and they say there is a sac - but can't see anything in it - that means another wait.
I have tested its still positive but that doesn't offer me much comfortMy first miscarriage after trying for months - before my daughter was called a 'silent miscarriage' relatively uncommon against other miscarriages, basically the baby died just before 12 weeks but I had no idea - still felt sick, still had sore boobs, no bleeding or cramping, so went there for my scan thinking all was ok, and came out with an appointment for an operation instead of a scan picture. Normally the body expels anything when the chemical make up isn't quite right, but it didn't soften the blow at all knowing that. I literally was in bits but fell pregnant one month later with my DD born in 2014 so a bad experience turned into a very very good one!
I feel like I am treating DH like I don't like him much at the moment but its not that - I just need to know what is going on in my own body.
On another note acupuncture was very effective for my friend who was trying for 5 yes 5 years. She had some and boom - was pregnant. I don't think it was a coincidence.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Rachylou1981 I hope you are feeling better after the laparoscopy! I'm 30 and this is my 24th month of TTC our first, never had a BFP, will this be your first? I'm sort of taking the 'past caring' approach, not thinking about it and just doing more things that I haven't been doing all these months of trying.
I'm all recovered now thanks. I had a BFP quite quickly after starting TTC but it ended in a MMC. I continued TTC but when we hit the year mark with nothing happening, we got referred for fertility investigation, particularly because I am 36.
Even though you are 30, that is a long time TTC and so I would seek some advice from your GP. I think it depends on area as to what they will say and do but getting the ball rolling is half the battle. Some of the investigations can take weeks/months and it can be up to a 2 year wait for any intervention i.e. IVF
Obviously taking things at your own pace is the best advice though and definitely do not put your life on hold like I did. I stopped going away, avoided spas and hot tubs and arranged nights out around my cycle - I stopped all that this year and feel much happierCherry_Gale wrote: »
Welcome back Rachylou, hope the results from laparoscopy help you to get a successful pregnancy. It must be nerve-wracking waiting.
Thanks Cherry. I have kept busy and stopped stressing about the whole situation which has helped. My stress levels last year were just through the roof which obviously never helps. Hope you are well. I haven't caught up properly with this thread in a while0 -
Samtoby - I'm so sorry you are going through this
. I went through the same thing you did with your first in that I was pregnant and went for my first scan and was told the baby had not progressed, also referred to as a missed miscarriage because I'd had no symptoms to let me know this. Although to be honest I didn't feel that I had 'normal' pregnancy symptoms such as going to the toilet more so I always felt anxious.
I can only imagine the stress and sadness you feel right now but the sad truth is that there is nothing that the hospital can do until later in the pregnancy to reassure you. Even 6 weeks is very early for scans etc. Just aim to relax and don't get in the mindset that you can stop this if it is a MC because you won't be able to. As harsh as that sounds, I always think back and wonder if I should have went to be checked earlier when I had a night of really bad backache and whether I should have given up green tea and whether that one glass of celebratory champers I had at a wedding was a bad idea. Although in all fairness, none of these things will have contributed to my loss. It will happen regardless of what we do. The best you can do is think positive and look after yourself. Hope you have the support you need, it's tough, especially if you have kept the pregnancy a secret.0 -
Thank you Rachylou1981 I am just hoping I can cope with it all until they will see me. I am lucky to have two wonderful children and I try to keep in my mind when I get upset.
In other news, I have managed to do four loads of washing this weekend and do some clearing of things we don't need. I really do feel clean home gives a more positive mind x3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
