Kirsty, I think it's better to test in the afternoon as the hormone levels rise during the day.

Thank you, will do this afternoon and then change to testing PM :)

I think it's best to test around 4pm for OPKs? Not like pregnancy tests. I have a vague recollection of doing them after getting home from work!

Can I be updated to 3DPO please?

I use cheap amazon opk's and I get no line at all until around OV. Even then it's just a faint line. I think I read somewhere not to test first thing but mid adternoon so I test once about 2pm.

Sorry about your poorly ankle too.....

Just popping into say I used cheap OPKs from eBay. The month I conceived, I only ever got a fairly faint line and everything I read on the internet said it didn't count unless it was darker than the control line. But I still got pregnant. So personally I would read any line as a good sign that something is happening.

^ Yeah this was me. Try not to take much stock by others' results as you might find after a month or two (hopefully just the one!) that you understand where your peak was. A bit grim, but I used to keep my OPKs so I could see the progression. In hindsight I probably should have just taken photographs!

Just bought my faithful amazon cheapies, and some conceive plus. I conceived on preseed last time as I rarely see any EWCM, so feeling good about trying it. I guess this means I'm properly TTC this month now doesn't it (OH's health depending of course).

Good luck to all the TWW-ers :)

Thanks all, I'm doing my best not to get obsessed by this stuff but I'm a control freak in general, so this was never going to be any different!

I didn't get home until almost 10pm last night and completely forgot to OPK so will be doing this afternoon instead. Hope I haven't missed it. Although as OH is away, there's not much I could do anyway :rotfl:

I'm exactly the same Kirsty. I really like to be in control of situations or feel like I'm as in control as I can be at any rate. I think some people don't understand how stressful TTC can be if you're like it. For me, I just feel better knowing I'm doing everything I can to time it right & give us the best possible chance. I even feel better today having bought OPKs etc and I'm on CD2!
