Hi Newthrift, just popping over to say that I also tested with OPKs around 5pm when I got in from work. I know there weren't many months that I got a positive but in the months I did, it was when they were taken around that time. Cheapies were great from Amazon and found them much more useful than the CB digis (these became so expensive for me) especially because of my irregularity as I was testing on wrong days! We followed SMEP but had stopped when I got PCOS diagnosis but then continued when I got positive OPK and got my BFP xx

Hello everyone had a break from here recently but have been checking in hope everyone's doing OK. i have just done my third month of using OPKs and I use cheap as chip tests from access diagnostics. I take two to work each day and from cycle day 10 I do one at 11am and one at 2pm. I have caught my surge each time by following that. we followed SMEP this month and actually stuck to it, it's our six month but kind of feels like our first month of actually trying and not guesswork. Fx for everyone xx

    Hey how is everyone doing?

Not much happening here - cd18, but about 8-9dpo I think. Going on past cycles, AF would be due middle next week, but based on early ov, I'd imagine she'll be here before then. Starting to feel a bit tired & kinda "heavy" down below, which is normal at this point for me.

15dpo today, so going by my usual lp of 15 days my AF is due tomorrow. I have zero symptoms, other than usual PMS ones. Haven't tested, go me!

So I am now officially CD1[/COLOR] I wasn't really sure about posting before hand as I'm not long off the pill, but this is my first proper bleed since coming off them. I didn't quite expect it to be roughly the 4 weeks since I came off the pill, partly because I didn't really have any of the same symptoms I usually get. So from what I've read and the apps I've downloaded it seems ovulation is between days 12-15.

    Hi Girls,

I've been keeping an eye on this thread for a few months but as we haven't officially started to try I didn't feel right in posting anything.

I'm not sure now if I just want to talk about it, need reassurance or whatever. I know everybody is different but here goes.

Back story is we got married last year and for various reasons didn't have a honeymoon so decided to book Mexico for our first anniversary. This was long before we were aware of Zika. Checked all advice online and it said to wait 8 weeks after return before we started trying which we were happy with. We decided that I should come off the pill after we came back to give my body time to get back to 'normal' and I had my usual withdrawal bleed on the 18th July but nothing since. I was on the pill for around 13 years with a few months break at various points but I can't ever remember it taking this long to go back to my normal cycle.

Like I said I'm not quite sure what I want from posting but felt the need to.

    xx

Oh slienes don't worry. I'm a lurker on this thread after being on it for 14months before getting my BFP so we've talked about all sorts! My body took a fair while to sync up - I'd been on the pill for 9 years with no breaks but was pretty regular in my teens. Had my usual bleed then it was 30 days til the next, very light one, then 44 days til the one after that!

My cycles stayed irregular unfortunately but during my research I found a lot of women take up to 6 weeks, or even longer, to have a proper period after stopping the pill. I'm afraid you will just have to wait it out - but try not to get stressed as that won't help :-)

Stressing is my problem, it's just constantly on my mind. I haven't been sleeping very well for the last week or so but have decided to have a nice pamper evening tonight, bath, candles the whole lot so hopefully that will relax me a bit.
