The OP can say the sky is purple that doesn't make it a fact either.
The car will be Insured on the Reg No.
Or is the Reg no from a 500 Pop aswell?
The OP has spoken to the insurer, who say they have the car as a Pop, and will charge £120 to change it to a Lounge.
When the policy was started, the registration was freshly allocated, and had probably not filtered through to the insurer's systems, so the model would have been manually selected.0 -

As has been said on this thread a number of times before you chimed in, it takes time for a new registration to show up against a car online. My current car took nearly three months to show up on automated systems.0 -
Never took anytime on the small number of new cars I have bought.
But then I would have pointed out that the car was clearly not a bottom of the range model at the time of delivery and wanted it sorted out ASAP.
Not pretended not to notice till somebody from the Garage pointed it out and explained the mistake.
I would then not have gone on an Internet forum with the intention of trying to find out if there is a way I can keep the car without paying for it.0 -
Sounds like you'll be much cheaper off going back to the car you wanted. Get a price for the change of registration from the insurance and then see if someone will reimburse you.
I can't believe no-one noticed the vast spec difference. I mean, it's got different wheels and seats?0 -

Agreed, me neither. It's not going to happen. Anyone with an understanding of the relationship between the lessor and the financing dealer would know that. Clearly the OP doesn't and is seeking a no-cost resolution to keep the car.
It's not going to happen, but that doesn't mean the OP is lying about the circumstances.0 -
Just a thought, do you need to get the owners permission to get the black box installed? This might affect your negotiation if you do.0
-
Or horrified that the error they spotted when the car was delivered was actually spotted?
Why did we not have a thread in the six weeks before contact was made by the dealer?
This thread is simply to find out if there is a loophole to keep the higher spec car at the lower cost.
Hence the comment about the car being used and therefore worth less to the dealer or lease company.0 -
the car wont last 6 weeks after shes passed her test-waste of moneyWhat goes around-comes around0
