So did the whole reclaim for uniform and I got my first letter stating some of the years were too old to count and one year I'd paid too much tax and the other I'd paid too little.
No idea if my tax code is changing but I am due back £39 in the next 14 days!Student nurse 2018 to 2020

So I'm looking to keep everything extra I make in July to use for August and do the same each month. That means little spending in July, thankfully there isn't much I NEED to spend on in July - no birthdays, no trips out. I have budgeted £1939 with only £1733 coming in. That is however based on basic wage (I think) so I'm hoping for more than that otherwise I'll start this in August rather than July
I need to find £206 to cover the budget!Student nurse 2018 to 2020

So I have had a rethink on the nursing home v hospital bank shifts.
NH:
M-F - 7.20phr
Sat/Night - 7.20phr
Sun/B hol - 7.20phr
Hospital:
M-F - 8.79phr
Sat/Night - 12.65phr
Sun/B hol - 16.52phr
Kind of a no brainer really. Looking at 6-8 bank shifts a month - 2 x 11.5hr shifts + 1 x 6hr weekday shift + 1 x 6hr Sunday shift.
A potential income of £354 before tax.Student nurse 2018 to 2020

PAYDAY :T
Budgeted down to the last penny, managed to budget £50 to Halifax, £50 to Barclaycard and £41.24 to holiday fund. We WILL get this holiday next year
Working 11.5hr extra shift next week which will be paid 15th July so if needed I'll use it in July otherwise I'll save it for August. Also have 2 other 11.5hr shifts to be paid 22nd July & 29th July giving me £200 before tax/ni for August :T
Speaking of next years holiday, last night at work I decided for whatever reason to just check hotels for May 2017 on hotel.com found one for £650-ish for both of us, that is half what everywhere else charges. Couldn't let this one pass, so went to bookings.com and managed to get one of the last remaining rooms and don't paid till we arrive -$909! Heaven knows what that is in £s now :rotfl:Student nurse 2018 to 2020

Save till retirement then buy a studio out right.
Shared ownership - possibility but not many around, do you qualify if you don't need a mortgage or over 40?
I hate that we are paying £750 a month to rent but just can't afford the mortgage on my salary or have enough to save for a deposit plus I'm 35 this year so only 56 months to get anything or I'll be living in rented when I've retired.
I'm working on a figure £71k so really not much can be gotten for that.
Just curious as to where you rent for £750 a month.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

My debt currently stands at:
£370 - Barclaycard Initial
£2807 - Virgin
£175 - Cashplus
So a total of £3352! To clear it all in 10 months would mean £335.20 a month, I need to find £190 above my regular payments to make this happen. By January Virgin should be down to £2567 and I'll no longer have Cashplus. I'm looking to increase the Virgin payment to £150 from the new year and if I clear the Barclaycard by then then I can add that payment to it too. Next year I'll have paid off my credit union loan also so that will be £25 back into my pay packet.Student nurse 2018 to 2020

Oh I won the postcode lottery this month - £10. I think that's 3 times this year so far, why can't I win anything biggerStudent nurse 2018 to 2020

So I have been doing surveys like mad today. I don't know how people ever get to payouts with them, they are so mind numbing.
Also worked on a new spreadsheet to try and estimate my wage each month including unsocial. I *think* I'll get about £1853 and only budgeted for £1702.62 leaving me with £150.38. My budget include £95.04 to capital one for this months food, £100 extra food, £100 spends and an increase payment to cashplus. I don't however have anything down for the holiday cards/funds so will budget the remainder to those. I have however spend another £50 on food on capital one but hopefully the £100 I have budgeted extra will be used.Student nurse 2018 to 2020
