So after cancelling Fridays shift, I then went off sick Sunday night meaning I couldn't do my extra shift last night. Looking like only £117 coming my way this Friday for June :(

I do have a nursing home shift on 14th June (£63) and a hospital shift on 16th June (£90) they won't be paid until July.

I now have the following current accounts:

    Natwest - Bills account
    RBS - Nursing home wages
    TSB - Bank wages
    Nationwide - Misc to savings
    Student nurse 2018 to 2020
Debt: DMP (with Payplan) £8194 - 6.6 years left
  • *high*, do you claim for washing your uniform and for your shoes? You get tax rebate on that :) for up to 3 previous years.
Also, on any extra shift, the tax is 31%. 20% tax and 11% NI contributions.
car finance £1072/£8285 by sept 2018
    #188 £1000 EF £8.45/£1000
    3-6 months salary £80/£5000

Yeah I never calculate NI but I do realise it also comes out ;) The uniform rebate I really can never be bothered to sort this out but the back pay would come in handy.

My nursing home shifts have changed a bit. I am now working 8-2 on 14th June and 2-8 on 21st June with nothing else for the month.

Ah why do online calculators never appear to include student loan repayments even when I click 'pre-2012'! I pay it on all my wages - main + bank/extra. Trying to work on a basic budget isn't helping!

I have going out - £1743.30 excluding any spends.
    I need coming in - £1193.30 (plus OHs £550)
I have coming in - £1182.91 (with out student loan payments and unsocial)

Are student loan repayments above £15k net or gross?

EDIT: Worked it out, it's my unsocial that is pushing me into the student loan repayment bracket, I have only £200 left to pay though and paid off by the end of this tax year :)

Once my student loan has been repaid and I no longer have my credit union loan I'll have around £60 extra income each month. Also my debt repayments will only be £100 come the new year so all extra can be thrown towards the holiday.

Once I start building up my bank + nursing home shifts I will use that for spends and extra debt/holiday payments.

£200 left in my account and only water & virgin to go out totaling £90. Have my parents here over the weekend so will pay off Aqua next week just before payday :) Then it's onto Cash Plus then Initial.

So my shift tomorrow is only 8-2 not the 8-8 that I thought. It's an 'induction' but I bet I'll be just one of the staff rather than training. As far as I'm aware residents just need assistance (thank god) as they are mostly independent so no hoists involved!!! Have an 2-8 shift next Tuesday and have worked out that through July I can do around 5 shifts and August 8ish. First pay is 5th July.

I hate starting anything new :(
