HMRC Self Assessment Repayments 2016
Comments
-
SA completed & submitted 6 April. Overpaid £36 for 2015/16. Since 8 April, request for repayment of overpaid has been stuck in a cycle of "overpayment unused > request repayment > repayment requested > overpayment unused". Have done request repayment every 2 or 3 days, now done it 8 times in all so far to date. HMRC = total shambles!0

Ours is the same they phoned today saying there was a mistake on last years and they would send a letter and once we receive the letter we were to call them and then the money would be deducted from this years refund just wondering how long it will take0

Anyone get theirs today mine still pending0

Yep still pending! They have however promptly managed to update last year's tax owed though. so showing the arrears from last year now, to make a payment now. Which was arranged for them to take out of this year's refund. Did ring and they said the case was closed now, compliance wise. She said they was pushing the payment through now. This was Monday. Amazing can have their bit updated within 2 days but the other way round, no chance.0

Ok, so I have spoken to HMRC 4 times now. Every person I have spoken to has given me different answers. I believe that they are purposely told to fob everyone off
Filed on 7th, PENDING. I have now been told 1 week, 2 weeks, "standard" 3 weeks and 5 weeks.
One said it was under security checks, three said it wasn't.
I'm seriously considering sending THEM a "late payment fee" of £100, PLUS daily interest & further charges "PENDING" to see how they respond.
At least it will make someone in their office laugh :rotfl:0
