Indeed - but unfortunately, as you can see, the 2021 thread has been reopened today and, no doubt, the 2019 and 2022  thread will follow suit. Having six threads dealing with the exact same thing is crazy.

Yes i noticed I posted on the wrong thread so I since deleted my comment this is the thread I have used for years it just gets confusing when like you say there's so many threads opened for the same thing

Dozens and dozens.  Completely pointless.

You need to find out the root cause of the issue and resolve that, repeatedly asking for a refund that HMRC don't want to pay is a waste of your time.

It could as simple as you owe £x from a few years ago and they need to sort that out before letting you have anything left over.
