    Morning all.
Dizzy my parents split up when I was about 8 or 9 and it was very complicated, my dad and mum basically swapped partners it wasn't intended and they werent into that sort of thing generally. Dad left mum for step mum then mum met her ex and they hit it off and lived together for several years. Step mum has a son by my dad and mum has a son by stepmums ex so me and my step sisters are equally related to both of them. It is very confusing at times when the kids are talking about my family DS1 can be relied upon to start singing "I'm my own grandpa" look it up if you've never heard it. The DDs tell me if I had my childhood now I could be a regular of Jeremy Kyle! On visiting days one dad would take step children drop them and pick up his own then the return journey would be reversed by the other dad. In all the time I've known step mum she has never ever called or criticised my mum and pulled dad up a few times telling him nor to involve us. Mum and dad do not get on and go out of their way not to speak if they have to go to the same events which they avoid at all costs.
Dad has dementia so step mum has a heck of a lot on her plate and she is a lovely person so I don't see why I shouldn't tell her that occasionally.
My children are lucky in that they have an extra grandmother, I was really flattered when dd2 had her baby and her partners children asked if they could also call me nanny like their baby brother will.

My family tree looks very twisted just written so imagine what it would look like if I ever tried to draw it!

Back to flying just finished off a bit of knitting as me time and am going to tackle the hall shelf as it a bit of a hotspot for dumping things on so looks very cluttered

Pre op went fine yesterday, but I was knackered by the end of it.

I have to be at the hospital for 7.30am tomorrow. Nil by mouth by midnight. But I have been warned it is an all day list. I am desperately hoping that I will be on the morning bit of the list.

I will.see you all on the other side...

Valli - the list has been great this week. Just wish I could do the list too.

I thought I was doing well following Valli's lists thus far, but I fear it's gone to hell in a handbasket today. We had several errands in town this morning, and what with the physical strain of actually doing them, and the mega-stress involved with dealing with Other People - eg pharmacist (not my usual lady) and counter staff at the Paste Orifice etc, I'm absolutely wiped out. :(

Pharmacist (male) wanted to do an interview re my meds, but I refused. Couldn't face it with no warning like that; I'll wait til "E" is back on duty and speak to her, if I absolutely have to do this (as I pointed out, I already went through all this with GP just a month ago).

Mr LW got his car insurance renewal papers - and they have the details wrong. They've only gone and put the reg no of the car that was written off last year. Anyways, he's called them and they're sending out amended papers tomorrow.

Dog-swap day tomorrow - Jack leaving, Ollie arriving, possibly both at the same time, as the franchisee has had something crop up that he can't do the timings he originally planned, so I predict not much Flying happening tomorrow, either.

    Afternoon folks

Hope your op went ok CY and you didn't have to wait too long
    Best of wishes to Pigpen

Went out yesterday and bought some new bedding. DH helped me un-make and remake the bed - he turned the mattress also. Then a lovely bubble bath and into new bedding - ooh it was lovely.

Think I'll have to leave the rest of the lists for the morrow as I've done more than enough today already and now tired and achy.

We are only having spag bol tonight - meat sauce defrosting, so just have to grate the parmesan and cook the tagliatelli. Also means minimal washing up - haha.

Tomorrow's list is up! Made it a bit different - if the kids are off school we'll save their bedrooms until you can have a clear run at them. if, of course, they're older they can do their own!
