I've just been directed back to this thread, amongst others, as I've been emailed about several pay cuts ??

All sounds a bit dodgy to me. Don't click on any links!!

Wrong thread possibly, though difficult to tell given we have moved on from bill splitting to dishwashers.

Possibly how long they will last....and that someone would inherit a Le Creuset but wouldn't think much to inheriting a Tesco pan.
Would they even tell? Looks the same to me:

Appols for not having read the whole thread but can I suggest for the more adventurous gatherings. Credit Card roulette - Simple game you pile all cards on a plate and ask the waitress to select one and pay the bill....Only for the adventurous souls though...a popular "game" in las vagas restaurants and bars among the more gambling minded people lol.

Sounds like a great reason for using AMEX, which hardly anywhere accepts.

So what's the difference between a genuine Le Creuset pan at £200 and the £40 cast iron pan I bought from Tesco?

    Mostly the name, I expect.

Looks can be deceiving, the question is how long will the pan last?

I am disappointed that your spoon doesn't match your pan!

What do you think could happen to my £40 pan that would render it unusable? It hasn't got a non-stick coating that could wear off. Possibly the enamel on the outside could get chipped a bit. But overall I'm not too concerned.

As for the spoon - I'm off right now to find an orange one ;)

And I'm going to add a clause to my will bequeathing my cast-iron cookware to whichever child is able to produce the best curry after blind-testing ;)
