I think you've got confused about what I was saying, and totally missing the point I'm trying to make! Obviously if you've got a dishwasher then you're going to use it instead of hand washing, like you say that's a given, but that wasn't the original point.

    But you're right, it's not important! :p

Also, it's not an argument, it's debating!

I think maybe I am missing the point. Maybe you are too. I'm at a point in my life that I would refuse to buy anything that I couldn't easily wash whether that means sticking it in the dishwasher or spending 30 seconds cleaning it under a running hot water tap.

    Life is too short :D

It's not that short that I can't spare 30 seconds to run it under the tap! :rotfl:

Still different strokes for different folks! :)

When we were on holiday, we washed all our walking boots-which were rather`fragrant`- in the jacuzzi. They came up lovely!

I suppose someone is going to say that`s not what the jacuzzi is for, but so what, it did the job!

Not sure of your point there. I was just saying it takes less than 30 seconds to rinse a pan under the tap.

But your 2 seconds in a DW could totally ruin a pan I've used for 20+ years and only ever spent 30 seconds washing under a hot water tap after every use.

Yes, you can , but they may cost £100+ each to replace. Not sure about you but I have no wish to replace pans which will continue to be passed down the generations and last at least 100 years more, as long as they never get put in a DW along route ;)

Just find it hard to get my head round not using/buying something you might like (talking kitchen items) just because you'd have to run it under the rap rather than place it in the dishwasher!

Personally I enjoy washing up, I find it relaxing! Then again, I also don't mind housework!

    Now that's something I can't get my head round!:rotfl:
