Sorry to hijack your diary PF
Agree with Bob two weeks is bad - I'd give them another call or try another or pop over to the mortgage board and ask who someone in the same boat would recommend. Don't know what your rate is now, but if it's SVR even a 1% saving on a fix could save you in the long run. Hope you get somewhere.
Please don't worry about hijacking - lovely to have you all posting0 -
It's the middle of the night and I'm awake
so I'm just catching up on some diaries on here and making use of my time. DD woke me to say she'd wet the bed and then I couldn't go back to sleep, will try again shortly. Had some sad news today about a lovely lady and I've been thinking about her lots which hasn't helped with the not going back to sleep.
I've made a small payment to my new account so hopefully I will receive log in details today or tomorrow and I can check its there. Very impressed with process so far.
Money went out today to debt repayment which means we have reached another couple of milestones. Total debt paid off this year 51% of January 1st total and amount owing in next substantial number down :T in theory this would have happened earlier but two months ago decided I'd take my foot of the debt has and move to savings as it was on 0% and as much as I want it gone, I also want to make my money work for me.
We've also made some conscious decisions about things we've spent this year - work on house, holiday etc.. So I know I could have paid off more but I'm balancing the two
DH made lovely new meal from the planner last night - paprika porkhowever, the spinach I got out the fridge to go with it from my veg box turned out to be basil  tonight I'll make pesto
We're having a new door and frame today in our main room downstairs so DH has taken old one off and stained new one. I'm ridiculously excited about a door. How times have changed
I was meant to be working at home today but now have to go to the office, which is incredibly annoying. Particularly as there are some horrendous roadworks in the city where I work meaning the commute is just ridiculous. Dread to think what's going to happen when the schools go back and the traffic volumes go up. May have to re think how I do my hours as I'm not spending an hour a day to get through a mile of roadworks (plus another hour to get home) Handily boss has identified it as an issue as he lives same direction as me will see what he says next week.

Hope you're ok PF - I don't like the whole 'awake in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep' thing. Hope that you're sleeping soundly now.Not giving up

Sounds like a dreadful night PF." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Truly shocking now. Must admit to having to 'treat' myself to a cup of coffee this afternoon just to get through. I wish I was asleep at 9.46 CCL - left for work at 7.30  save to say I'm now knackered - will eat tea shortly and off to bed. Just been and done a small essentials shop at mr s to get us through the weekend.
Nothing much to report, no sign of log in details but man doing Stirling job on door. Coming back tomorrow to finish it. He'll definitely be doing the rest
DH has made chilli for tea, am so looking forward to it. Also resisted a ys bake well tart in mr s as I know we would have just devoured it0 -
Heres hoping for a better night" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Much better night sleep thanks. Slept from 9.30 until 7.30  felt almost human when I woke
great day. Door and frame are up, look amazing. People who are talented as the woodman who fitted it are rare craftsman indeed. He'll definitely be back to do lots more :T
Plus online banking details arrived for new account - it really is the simple things. My £5 transfer worked and was sat in account. Registered for paperless so just need to check anymore conditions to achieve interest rate and then I'll transfer £1995 across to take me to max
Enjoying a glass from a bottle of red tonight. Work has been particularly difficult this week not only from a matter point but also as one of our own is very poorly and hasn't long left with us. I'll raise a toast for her as we've shared before many a time. Makes everything else seem so trivial.
A four day weekend to look forward to, hopefully some sunshine will head our way some we can enjoy the outdoors and family time before routine sets in with avengance next week. Enjoy your evening folks. PF.0 -

Tried and failed to register on line for my BTL mortgage. Have a desire to overpay the second account that is on a slightly higher rate than larger amount. Need to balance this up with savings but think there is definitely a balance to be found. To be honest company that I have the mortgage with has poor customer service, I got £50 'compensation' earlier this year as they entered my wrong address twice and sent personal information to the incorrect address, however the rate for the main part is good for a BTL (and the smaller part is not too shabby either) so for that reason alone I'll stick with them. Not being able to register online means I will need to call and speak to someone though, which never seems to go well.
Ordered a big meat box to be delivered next week, got a good deal and free delivery. Went to wholesaler to stock up on staples we know are cheapest there.
Made dough to make cheats pasties for tomorrow using left over lamb and swede, a marmalade cake, basil pesto and a Cumberland pie for tea. Lots being used upI love it - my food bill has come down drastically this month compared to last - hopefully September will be low with meat box and bits today. We also seem to be spending less with DH working 2 rather than 4 days as it was so easy for him just to get something everyday he was there.
Man sent bill for woodwork, despite being here for two days rather than 1 he hasn't charged us any more. Even more thrilledmust pay from savings.
