Have a lovely day out." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Lovely day out, spent money on extra soft drinks rather than hot as the weather set fair in the end. Great day with the loveliest of people, happy memories made all round.
Small amount of left over picnic back in fridge, ys burgers for teaspends less than £10.
Saw offer on another diary for grabbing board, went and had a look. Decided against offer, as whilst good, I wouldn't use or gift so a waste, but saw another offer for the w0rks. Already wanted a Christmas gift from there but wasn't going to pay delivery for it, so used the grab it offer and got free delivery 12% cashback tracked immediately too :T
Updated Christmas spreadsheet too
Also created a protection policies spreadsheet so we can see what we have, see much we pay and what the return would be should something awful happen. Really helpful to see it all in one place. Not sure on one, can't really work out if it's worth it or not (of course they all are if you cash out) need to think about it and discuss with DH. Also need to understand what happens if we need to extend a policy - is it better to do that now or just take a short one at the end?!
Nearly 50% of Christmas shopping done, need to message a lady about a number of items she has handmade that I'm hoping to buy, which will get a few more.
Tomorrow morning have shoe appointment for DD school shoes. Will not be cheap but as they last all year (unless humongous growth and as she already has fairly large boat feet) this is hopefully unlikely :rotfl: I can just about live with the cost. Will come from clothing piggy
Researching chutney recipes for Christmas gifts too, found two that look very promising. Will aim to make it in the next month, have been stashing jars for this
Relisted another item on fleabay, fingers crossed. Didn't list anymore or do any of my sale listing, tbh I was too tired and need to concentrate to do listings. Will try tomorrow as working from home so should be able to start not too late.
Another new week bring further renewed excitement of things to happen this week, including my new door and frame0 -
Spoke to the mortgage people tonight and the new rate is effective from 19th August so all processed and done. Lady I spoke to was a bit useless though and couldn't tell me what my next payment would be  how difficult can it be. Then remembered it had taken 4 months to get this far :rotfl: oh well 3rd will be a bit of a lottery then
As its sorted I've been online and opened a t$b account to use as an additional saver account. Really wanted a joint account so DH and I can use it for grocery shopping too but you have to go in branch for that and we don't have one in our local town so I will see how I get on with this and then either a) open another joint current account that I can do easily or b) open a joint account when we go on a trip to our nearest larger town (about 4 times a year!)
I also want to get a reward credit card as I use one online and want to make something back from it. Am debating between two - one has 27 months 0% purchases, the other 6 - not sure why I've hesitated but I have. I don't want to buy things over a period of time, I'm doing it for the reward. Hmm. I want to wait a week anyway so I can a) close card with zero on it and b) not have 2 credit applications on same day
I've liberated a glass of red lurking at the bottom of an open bottle to celebrate
Found all the library books to take back tomorrow, will claim dd2 free prize whilst we are there. Day off work too tomorrow and folks are coming over so we'll go out. Hope smallest is less whiny - today was tedious in parts
DH cleaned downstairs all though and mopped so it looks nice and shiny
Must pay Plummer for radiators - might do that now before bed.
Right, off to finish red and slope off to bed. PF.0 -
Busy day
notification that I got accepted for t$b account, feels a bit like I'm cheating on my main bank
but their apps do look nice next to each other on my home screen
plus I'm maxing out my savings at my own bank :A
Also got letter to say BTL mortgage had reduced by £17 a month due to rate changes. Have large chunk on one rate and a smaller amount on higher rate. First long term goal post extension would be to pay higher chunk off, need to work out how to make overpayments to this account only. Wonder if I can do it online - another one to checklikely to save it in the short term due to rates, but will think about over paying - would be nice to be overpaying one mortgage
Lovelŷ day out with folks, they treated me and girls to lunch, I drovemore library books for smalls and stayed clear of shops save for 3 items, including 2 lots of milk so happy with that.
Am working in office tomorrow so need to find something for lunch, may be eggs left over from picnic. Will sort once smalls in bed.
Cashed out £3 surveys to savings, paid Plummer for rads  and did a £1.50 survey with a £3 follow up in 2 months time.
No pads at the moment other than additional income as slightly in overdraft due to DH payday timing, am due money from customer tomorrow though for order so that will be padded
Saw a lovely nest of tables heavily reduced yesterday which would be perfect for lounge, going back for 2nd look Thursday. Offer on internal doors I've seen ends tonight, not sure I can stomach an outlay though, like seeing money in my bank. Weighing up what is best.0 -
Sounds like it's all going well. My remortgage enquiry went very quiet once they looked at my credit file - so I think I still need to just accept it is as it is and get on with it...

Have you asked them the question or maybe gone to a broker who might be able to look at mortgages for people with certain items on credit file. Read lots on mortgage board if people getting decent deals with wrecked files. Much is now about affordability and each lender has their own criteria but brokers would know where to go. Just a thought as it can make such a difference in long run.
Hope you've managed a quiet day and feel like your caught up. My two go back on Tuesday next week, they're going to get such a shock as they can't seem to go to sleep at a reasonable time at the moment :eek:0 -

Sorry to butt in ladies but I just wondered if you went with the broker that Xspender recommended Cat as she said that they were specifically for those with less than perfect credit histories?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I went via the one recommended on here - I don't know if it was the same one Xspender mentioned. I'm still waiting for a callback - 2 weeks later. I got knocked back by the main people but they were passing me onto their 'credit repair' team.
