  • Another £2.50 in surveys which brings me to within £1.50 of £20 payout. Hope the buyer turns up at 5pm as planned.

    Blooming freezing here today.

  • Another £3 on PA takes me to over £20 which I will request once confirmed. Buyer turned up too. Good day all round :)

Went shopping and am going to not buy any wine this month at all. That should save at least £20 for the FIRE pot and cut the grocery bill down a bit.

  • In at work today but managed to sneak in another £1 survey with breakfast :) There seems to be a lot around at the moment, grateful for that! Mr Light managed to turn a £5 free bet into £30 which means our free money pot is up to £86

  • Happy Saturday everyone:beer:

Alcohol free for me though:A MrLight and I are out to a workingmens club tonight to watch a band, we haven't been to one in years but the drinks are cheap and the the entrance fee is 20p. I will be driving so if it turns all Phoenix Nights on us we can escape:rotfl:

Today will be spent sorting out the woodwork in the garden, spent £35 yesterday on replacement wood and fence paint but it will totally transform the garden. Mr Light did lots of digging out overgrown plants and burning stuff yesterday so he was very happy.

Stroke of luck on FB selling page. A local factory posted a free load of oak offcuts and as I was the first to reply we grabbed it:j :j Even more luck when we went to collect he said that every Saturday they have offcuts which they usually have to dispose of so I suggested that we could all every Saturday morning and take it from them for free...........he thought it was a great idea! I am soooooooo chuffed with this as we can really build up our wood supply for the winter.

I have also applied for a MandS CC to grab the £30 voucher + £5 points which I will put towards some nice food (they have good whoops section).

Its all good in Light land at the minute. Hope it lasts:)

    Morning
Why don't you have a go on bingo while you're out tonight? I used to love a bit of bingo when I went to the working mens clubs. Cheap to play but nice if you're lucky...
  • Good find with the free wood, hope the band was good and you didn't have to leave early.
  • We had a good night, band were average but entertaining and free:D Pints were £2.20 which made MrLight very happy and I stuck to tomato juice followed by lots of iced water as it was so hot in "The Big end":rotfl:

We played bingo and as we were sharing between the 4 of us my Mam's friend shouted for £30  Once I counted everything up at the end of the night we actually only spent £3

In other news I have put up an evening dress for sale for £20 which is now too big for me and have interest already.

Sun is shining, Murry is in the French Open final. All good here.

  • * de-lurks....

    Hi,
I subscribed to your diary but I've only just got round to reading the entire thread. You are doing so well, I shall keep cheering you on.

Don't know if you have sorted your work / driving dilemma, but if not why not approach it with a 'why don't we make this a more formal arrangement when we are both working late' type approach. you could follow it up with 'I don't mind doing the driving and you could contribute to the additional wear and tear on the car - win win'

    Just a thought!

Keep going, you are doing great
