Happy Bank Holiday Monday:j
Off cutting and bagging wood in a bit then over to see my Niece on her birthday. Used a survey voucher at B00ts to buy her some earrings as she has recently had them pierced.
Need to do a bit of marking for tomorrow and am planning to chill tonight.

I think you've been more than kind. maybe say you have somewhere else to go, or have to be home quickly. My OH's colleague charges £2 each way. Phew! What a week!
I attended a national conference and picked up an award :j Had a 2 night stop over at hotel and then DS1 and returned to Mr Light on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday was spent chilling, walking in the sunshine and doing a bit of gardening. Looking forward to going back to work for a rest:rotfl:
Budget is already looking a bit tight for the month, especially for fuel as I had to put £50 in the tank and £6 parking or my travels and wont get my mileage back until end of June payday. I will get £172.50 back in claims though:T Mr Light has been offered a few days overtime during May, not sure how many days but it will also be paid end of June.
Thinking of doing the M&$ deal on the home page for £35 and still need to do the £25 PO for Mr Light.
He has been plodding away at the free bingo and won £24 from 1st May, can't be sniffed at.
There (may) be more news on the online tutoring thing as I spoke directly to an online training provider at the conference who was very interested in me joining his team of online tutors, he has my email so let's see what happens there.
Have a good week everyone

Weekend update, we bought at tent! £100 for lots of stuff including a huge frame tent which looks almost new. Cooker looks a bit dodgy so will probably replace that and we still need a few bits. We had a go putting it up and taking it down and it's a bit of a mammoth task but we are fit and healthy and it will mean cheap holidays for us next year in Europe. We are luck to live quite close to the Amsterdam overnight ferry port and quite fancy touring around northern Germany and Denmark.
Looking forward to tonight as we are getting together with the neighbours (and dear friends) for a 3 course meal and Eurovision evening. We are sharing the cost which with wine and beer comes to around £20 for the both of us.:money: no taxi home needed either:T
I am thinking of scooting round a car boot sale tomorrow to see if there is any cheap camping equipment about."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Lovely weekend all round filled with friends, food and booze. Need to detox now and sort myself out ready for the summer.
Budget has gone a pit to-pot but we will still manage to save over £1000 into our FIRE pot.
We seem to be spending a staggering amount on food still but I suspect that a significant proportion of this is on alcohol. Mr Light likes it a tat too much for my liking and quite often buys specialty beers at over £1 a pop:eek: We have also had words about the online bingo as he won over £70 but put all but £10 back on again and lost:mad: I know that this is free money but I feel that as soon as it is won then it is actually our money being spent. We had a bit of a fall out about it which makes me feel rotten:(.
Loved mooching around a car boot fair yesterday and spent £2 on entry and 50p on an unopened bottle of Honeysuckle perfume from Av0n which is nice to keep in my work bag from a freshen up. I was staggered at the amount of stuff that people accumulate. I must have a good sort out soon and get myself through to sell one week. Last year I really enjoyed a day selling with DS1 who is a good salesman. He flogged an Elvis handbag of mine for £3.50:rotfl:
Only 2 weeks until half term, 8 days to work:j"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
So I booked a holiday before I had my revelation to start my FIRE pot and I really do not think that it is worth the money now. 4 nights for £720 accommodation only, trouble is that if we cancel it now we have to forfeit the £150 deposit. Still will be a lot of money saved and we could do so much more with it, especially if we took the new tent.
I have a few days to ponder this but I think that a cancellation is on the cards."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0
