Went for my walk last night but ended up at the Sm and spent £1. So not claiming today's SFD as lost last nights.
Walk done today and still eating (well) from the fridge and freezer. As the freezer thins out I keep finding odd bits so it is still quite varied.
The electricity kept tripping last night and in the end DS3 turned off the upstairs sockets. Meant we didn't have to worry about the food in the fridge and freezer, can use the cooker and the microwave and don't have the internet cutting out (took a while to come back each time).
However since the light in my room doesn't work (on the list - want the builder to replace the old dimmer switch with a normal one) I need to stay downstairs when it goes dark and to use the laptop.
I have been alternating gathering information for a complaint for the ombudsman (re energy firm again) with working on the kitchen (thought I could turn my anger into energy). Not sure if it is the right time to write. Although the energy firm don't seem to be taking action the e-mails they have sent may be enough for the ombudsman and they may say I need to give them more time. At least I have all the information and dates in the right order now.
However also don't want the bills they have sent for February and March (for a house I sold in January) to get as far as a debt collector. May send the energy company a specific e-mail about these bills (final bill is not a worry as I should only owe a few pence but I do want to be finally rid of them - still have numerous pieces of paper relating to reclaiming cash from them last year and would be happy to declutter my copies of the e-mails I have sent = 20 last year and 8 so far this year). Think if I send my case handler the invoice for my services - the time spent writing to correct their mistakes and tell them how much the bills actually should have been - it might jolt them into action.
Random acts of kindness - if they don't have to be for someone specific (or face to face) I have filled a bin bag with litter from the backs today and when I put my bin out I moved a bag from one of the neighbours bins into mine (the lid on theirs was sticking up and the bin men sometimes won't take them).
Lots of clutter gone today. Should have been 20 for the charity bin in the library but it was full. I have told the staff but will have to wait until it is emptied again.
Today I am grateful for
a little more space
for being alive - thought we might have a terrorist situation as there were 4 ambulances in our street and another 2 by the side of the library but realised that the church was open. Must have been the funeral of an ambulanceman and they wanted to attend but had to come in their ambulances in case they were called out. Later heard a woman saying he was only 45 (funeral watcher) and had also been in the RAF.
electricity crisis (anything that affects his internet access) may get DS3 on board with clearing things away for the builder. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Didn't get a chance to post yesterday but it was a NSD and today as well. Planning a pamper evening tomorrow, have looked out a face pack, foot soak, nail varnish etc. Didn't manage to go to my kettlebells class this evening as I was late leaving work but will go to the gym in the morning.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I will be weighing myself this weekend in preparation of my new way of eating which starts next week. I will post when I know, it isn’t going to be great though – I am guessing 11stone (or more). I want to lose at least 7lb as well.
DH has been poorly and not set up the Wii so not been able to weigh myself but wanted to start 5:2 today so went to Boots and weighed myself - I am 11st 1lb.
I need to lose a stone just to get to a BMI of 25  - I am aiming for 1 - 2lbs per week on 5:2 so will see how I go.0 -
I think I need to get on the naughty step too - my fruit and veg intake is atrocious. Sunday was quite good with 4 portions of veg just with tea but yesterday I think I managed 2 clementine's and that was it. Today I have been on 5:2 so not eaten any veg:eek:
So Saturday was a spend day with the charity thing, Sunday we purchased the piggies - I am counting that as a NSD as I don't count animal related expenditure as have to buy when we can.
Yesterday I forgot my milk for work so popped to the shop and got a few weeks worth, also had Committee meeting so brought drink in pub. Also paid my friend for the last part of our girlie weekend which is next month - definitely a very spendy Monday!!
Today has been a NSD so only up to 2 for the month:mad:
Also just wanted to say about Royal Mail postage and sending heavy items, if I have heavy or bulky items I find it cheaper to use a courier company - I use My Hermes but there are others. I have a drop off point near work so very handy.0 -

Hello,
much better mood today too. Got dressed properlythis morning (nice skirt etc rather than jeans and t-shirt) to start with a little good feel factor. Only packed healthy food again (natural yog, with frozen berries, oats and honey for elevenses, massive veg salad for lunch, 2x fruit) and left my wallet at home after managing to only eat good calories yesterday. However had two rollies at night
. So will hit the pool today and hope that gym, feel good factor and healthy eating will give me enough positivity (gosh sound like a hippie) to say no to the fags completely today.
Yesterday's dinner was a lovely HM leftover chicken pie. Tonight I will use some of the YS lamb I cooked in the SC on Monday and make spicy lamb stovies.
SFD today and yesterday. So that makes 3.

Thank you for that. Will definitely keep that in mind. It would have been 20 quid cheaper  Can't believe I never checked this out, always assumed a personal courier service like that would be more expensive.
Created a new account with fitness pal. Just to give me another incentive to eat nutritiously, drink less alcohol etc. One thing I noticed straight away is that my sugar intake is too high, although it only comes from 2 spoons of sugar (one in each coffee), my muesli (I guess the raisins?) and mainly fruit. Need to swap that more for veg.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Number 22 checking in
Heating has been on all day so far. Baltic here.
Got news in the post on the ppi front today. £2k coming back to me once I sign and complete the form. Already allocated it in my mind against a cc! Can't wait to get it. 28 days and counting !!!!
Kids uniforms and shoes sitting to perfection. Ready to go! Love the kids dearly but roll on Thursday morning!!
Tonight will be a pasta carbonara I prepped and froze the other day. Think this batch cooking is something I could def get used to doing.
Did keep fit class last night. Enjoyed it. We are all going to do a charity run later in the year. Should be good fun and all for a good cause. Will need to finalise the entry fee later in the week and the official clothing/tshirt etc and the minimum required to raise.
Weather really is rotten. Looking out the window and everything is dark grey. Feels like winter.
Not a NSD for me. Spent a bit extra today in l@dl because the fruit and veg display looked fab. All healthy stuff and will all get eaten anyway. Forgot to get cheese. Doh! Will have to pop into MrT this afternoon. My £20 stashed in the tin will get used up. Lots of little mouths to feed. It too tight this week - will try again next week.On a mission!

Just a quick check in from me tonight. I rather unexpectedly bagged a nsd. I had planned to catch up with bestie, but instead if going out we just slobbed on the sofa at hers for a couple of hours with a cuppa and a good chat.
I had the most bizarre random act of kindness a couple of weeks ago. Out in the shopping centre, asked by an elderly gentleman to take his wife to the toilet. Of course I was completely weirded out by it but far too polite to say no. I think personally that is random act of kindness sorted out for the rest of my lifeIt's one thing helping a toddler on and off the toilet and entirely something else helping an old lady...
I can totally imagine that situation. Oh lord. Bless you for helping her Cat. You are right that is kind of over and above. God will be sending you a lottery win I'm sure" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
