Thanks for this - I hadn't seen the advert recently and couldn't remember who it was who was doing freebie credit checks - have signed up - no nasty surprises and nothing negative, with an (apparently ;)) higher than avg cs for my area. Looking forward to checking it every so often and seeing if it changes at all :)

Spent some money today by tagging along to B&Q with someone - but as the purchase was not for me and I've already received the money back I am counting it as a SFD, as nothing else was purchased. OH wanted to buy a Sunday paper but I persuaded him not to as we have a busy day so would be unlikely to be read :)

No exercise taken yet, and only at just under 6k steps. Busy prepping/ cooking dinner now for a while but will aim to improve on this!

Glad to be of assistance :)

An early check in from me.

Been a busy bee since 8am, beds changed, washing all done and dried. Dismantled trellis fencing that had come down ages ago. Got 2 trellis panels and a little post now I can reuse, all clamped together with bamboo stuff on top, looked at fence I think I might get away with a revamp of one panel, lifted out by myself so that be my next project.

Done gardening rest of the day, no walking hangs head in shame and not settled down with glass of wine whilst my roasties cook. Still using up my gammon, lots of veg.

My legs hurt did a long walk yesterday with heels on. Not that high but my calf muscles ache.

Loving the hedgehog hospital so cute. One of my friends has a pet hedgehog, not regular type. Pretty sure kept indoors.

    SFD 2/20 :-;

  • Thanks for the advice Bobarella. Wise words. Taken on-board. Will try the company you recommended.

    Today NSD.

Batch cooking went well. Will plan another session in a few days once the little ones are back in school.

    Morning stretches completed today.

Laundry and clothes drying on the horse. I make my own fabric softener and am running low. Going to make a bigger container bottle next time.

    Love reading everyone's April achievements.
    On a mission!

Claiming nsd2 today. Been swimming (friends treat) for free, went to the woods for a very long walk, and now home for an early night. Sold something for £30 yesterday (towards my £50). All meals from stores today.
Two loads of washing done n dried outside.

Two loads of washing dried out on the line. I have clean clothes:j, unfortunately the cleaning cloths and painting/ mucky jobs clothes are also ready for use again:(

Wrote two change of address letters for mum then took them round for her to sign (over the bridge of doom again - one day this will be easy). Partner's son came and took him out for a drive, great relief as he had been mithering all day and mum is unable to walk and follow him (he has Alzheimer's and gets lost). He also gave me a lift home which meant I could bring the latest charity sack and a toilet seat. Mum thinks I wanted it but I just take anything she is willing to part with and sort it out later.

Have eaten from the fridge and freezer. A SFD:j:j. I have also pulled some veg from the bottom of the freezer(sprouts, carrots and green beans all home prepared and put in before Christmas) as there is a little more space now and I could only find broccoli and cauli the other day.

thrifty I failed with my sweet potato slips, they all went mouldy overnight and had failed to sprout.

Had a small piece of cake at mum's (third time of offering and had turned down the offer of tea which would probably have involved white bread) and went downstairs to see if DS3 would spare me 4 squares of chocolate. However he only had pickled onion flavour crisp type snack  (yuck) so I eating lovely healthy salad.

Remembered two bills that should have been paid on Friday so did them online and filled in the form for the bulky waste collection (procrastinate moi?). Checked the bank account whilst I was online and DS3 hadn't paid me on Thursday (reminded him and he has now).

One good result from having too many things to do for my time and energy. Mum is having the yard/garden flagged this week (currently a mish mash of grass, stepping stones, concrete patches - a million hazards for someone as unsteady on her feet as mum) and the same men are going to convert the spare bedroom window into French Windows so I don't need to tack up the curtains that were allocated for that room. Must remember to phone and tell her to make sure they put the curtain rail up on the new window (or that will be another job on muggins's list). So can repack those ready to take back.

    Today I am grateful for
getting things done (was feeling overwhelmed earlier so glad I made the effort to start)
being able to resist pickled onion flavour mm and ther being no chocolate available when I was tempted
lovely sunshine and seeing odd blooms in people's garden (people on the estate I had to walk through seem to be making moves towards al fresco living with tables and chairs out at the front).

  • Very brief login, to say banked my third NSD, did walk, avoided cafe. Wading through other admin type jobs now. Not looking forward to first early start for work in a long time tomorrow - or to the massive tidy up that needs to accompany having guests around in the evening :). Will catch up with thread tomorrow. Good luck all! :T Keep going!

    Evening all,

Just off to bed as I've got an early flight tomorrow to go on holiday :j Really looking forward to getting away with some friends, all similar ages and interests :) Also all are keen on keeping holiday costs as low as possible so books are packed and we'll be putting our feet up and enjoying the fresh air (and hopefully sunshine).

Spendy day today as needed specialist light bulbs from IKEA for a lamp that was gifted to me and I knew I wouldn't have time to make the trip when I'm back. Over 11,000 steps done :) but sugar intake was very high again! Need to change this after my holiday.

See you all next weekend, unless I can get free wifi!

  • Day three and NSD 2/20... I had no money so it was easy!

Worked on the allotment today, tomorrow involves lots of driving so I will have to run the stairs or something when I get in. I aim to lose 6lbs this month, I need to find and charge my fitbit and then get myself out more. I need to book optician, dentist and smear test tomorrow! Thanks for the reminder. And I need to up my fruit and veg intake, as well as drinking more water.

Budgets been reworked as I forgot to add in car insurance and tax so the lovely £20 'spare' each week is actually a minus number now. I've just finished my contract with broadband provider so rang to end my services and ended up staying with them and saving £10 per month.
