Good morning to Kyle, dlb and all to follow,
chicken in cheese and crisps for tea
Loraine x x x
Hi Loraine, chicken in cheese sounds fab, could you give me the recipe?
Last day today dd is back at school tomorrow, and I am back at work, although only for the morning as i have a hospital appointment in the afternoon, I have been suffering from extremely heavy periods for about a year, so much so that I am having to use two types of protection, and cannot be too far away from a toilet at any time, dont know what they can do about it, maybe tie my tubes, but I am not sure I am ready for that, i do not want any more children but do not want the choice taken away, if you know what i mean.
plans for today are tidy through the house, get dinner ready, get dd ready for school, may pop into town for a while.
Pork chops (cooked in slow cooker delish ) mash or roast pots, cabbage and cauli for dinner.
Oh forgot to say OH has his first driving lesson tomorrow he is 34 and has always said he did not want to drive, but after I had driven for 5 hours solid to wales for our holiday, I was shattered, which made his mind up for him:j , it will be lovely when he passes and can help out with lifts etc.
Hugs to all enjoy your days

DD(13) starts school tomorrow and we still need quite a few things for our 18 year old DD for uni.
Having real trouble trying to find a long length proper towelling robe - everyone seems to do these fleecy things instead!
We did get a big towel bale and two big bath sheets for her in a lovely raspberry colour so they stand out as hers!
Just about to hang washing on line and take DD to dentist - she needs two teeth out then another two in a few weeks ready for a brace.
Have promised to get her lots of soft things to eat and to "spoil" her a little.
No idea what to make for tea - may do a big pot of soup as that will keep DH happy and I can rumage in the freezer for anyone turning their nose up at the soup.
We have run out of bread so I am a "bad mother!" If I get really adventurous i might bake a loaf as well as buying a couple.

Is there not something that you could do "for interest" that would not pressure you for exams etc.

Have popped into Mum's so the little one can have a snooze. So whilst I'm here I thought I'd force myself to have a look round MSE. How painful.
Did most of the washing yesterday. Have one more batch running now back at home. Will put it out to dry when I get a chance.
Yesterday we had sausage casserole for tea....rather nice too. Have decided about today. But its probably going to be something chicken with a salad. I've got some salad stuff to use up from last week and I'm determined to throw away as little as possible.
Have also been to somerfields this morning and have picked up some bargain meat for my freezer. Have temporarily shuved it in my mum's fridge whilst I'm 'stuck' here.
Hugs to those that need them and a big hello to all.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Oldest daughter started first day at nursery, felt quite sad when i left her not that she missed me,all i got was a quick wave and then she was gone, Charming. i don't know why I'm moaning i suppose it's better that her grabbing my legs and begging me not to go. Hope when the little one go's she a bit more aprreciative LOL. Gonna pick her up now. Hope shes made some new friends. She looked lovely in a checked sommer dress but she had the right hump when i made her put on the matching socks with the frill. Not really her(or my) style but they did look nice xMarch 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000 -

I thought you might all like to see a picture of one of my cats seeing as there have been quite a few posted lately. Beautiful isn't he? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The two eldest were back in for their first day today, both in different schools and the childminder has ever so helpfully taken the LO from 9am for me as I have spent the weekend arranging childcare and my sister to move in and look after the two eldest whilst he is in hospital. I have arranged a friend to take us to the hospital and generally gotten myself all organised and............
They sent him home last night.
Here we go again. I despair of that bl**dy hospital, they did this last time. In their wisdom they have decided to treat him at Manchester as an out patient and he 'should expect to be seen within the next few weeks'. The cardiologist has said he has [strike]reactive?[/strike] excaserbation heart failure caused - he thinks - by the valve and will see him again in six weeks. He still has some fluid on his lungs as they x-rayed him before being discharged and he should not bother with the GP and get himself straight back to ward 10 if his condition becomes worse
Is it just us that this happens to? I burst in to tears when he rang as I really thought we had finally reached the goalpost, I just wish they wouldn't keep moving it. OH is really upset, as much as he doesn't want the op he had geared himself up for the transfer and he is fed up to the back teeth of it all.
Anyway today is another day and all arrangements are back on hold again until we get to Manchester and see what they decide.
OS wise, I have washed, dried and ironed all his hospital stuff and it is back in the hold all  There is a load on the line as it is a beautiful drying day and the last wash is on the go. The top half of the house is clean and tidy and I am cheating for tea. I aquired a reduced curry from asda last week - an ice cream tub sized portion for £3.59 so I think we will pig out on that and some rice and garlic nam bread tonight.
Got to phone my work now and explain to them what's gone on.
Hugs to anyone in need.

Afternoon All
(((hugs))) Smokey - hope it all sorts out.
Ive had a lovely day today, we were all up in time for school, OH was home just in time to come with me to drop DS off who is normally a nightmare but he went in as happy as Larry. After dropping oh at home to go to bed I went to a local town to a farmers market, spend a bit but got - leg of organic lamb, rib of beef, farmers sausages and pork and apple burgers, strawberries and courgette chutney. All lovely stuff, also treated myself to a piece of hot smoked salmon which I will have for lunch in a mo. Its a wonderful market and village to look around, I also found some Xmas pressies perfect for both oh and my dad so am very pleased with myself. Also it was bliss to walk around on my own, without feeling Ive got to rush back for the kids.
Am now in my office for a couple of hours, when finished will make pizza dough x2 and then take dog for a long walk before pick up time. Hm pizza tonight - mine with peppers ham and olives, everyone else ham & salami.
Have a great day.
(Oh and thanks Amie - just about to look on woolworths website)0 -
Hi All, what a gorgeous morning.
<<Hugs>> to those with youngsters going back to school.
Csarina Very excited on your behalf, can't wait to hear how you get on now it's finally arrived!
RedRuby Have you thought about getting an IUS fitted? I don't mean an IUD. The IUS is a little plastic device which contains progesterone, and lasts for about 5 years. One of the well publicised side effects is that in many women it reduces their period to zero (or almost zero), so is often used in cases like yours. I had one fitted a couple of months ago. The first week was horrendous: I haven't had children, so it hurt a lot when they fitted it, and it was painful for two following days, and then very uncomfortable for a further four. It's been fine since then. Because the progesterone is delivered right where its needed, it actually contains a fraction of the hormone used in the pill, which can't be a bad thing.
Am just sitting down to poached eggs on crumpets for my lunch. I've sorted out our coal delivery, been to the gym, been out and bought some horrible stuff to try and unblock the toilet, and have bought veggies for my stir-fried-vegetable dinner tonight.
I've got the DW man coming AGAIN today: last week, the pump that took a couple of months to arrive turned out be the wrong one. Still, they've given me a 1.5 hour window, so it's not as if I'll be waiting in today.
Kitchen looks a real mess for some reason, I turn into a bit of a slob when DH away. Think I'll give it a good sorting out today so I can get on with Christmas cooking tomorrow. Maybe.
Also have a load of stuff to take to the tip, will go this afternoon if its still fine.
Have a good day everyone xxx0 -
well, made the pancakes, and froze 5 portions of them, tidied up the kitchen,
DH has called the HA for the trees to come down and has been told that they will be done in the 'next few months' so he pointed out that they do scrape the roof and could damage it.....
Talked to the Baliff-manager at Blackpool court who will try to get my money back - £742.34 - they have left messages but there has been no answer. So they will keep trying, and he'll call me next week.0 -
Afternnon everyone
Good luck to everyone going back to school today especially all the newbies my DD was quite looking forward to going back she is in year 10 now and they wear different colour sweaters now to the rest of the school.
Redruby hope hospital appointment goes well
Smokeybabe hugs to you and your OH sounds dreadful all that planning and anticipation to be let down
Got to do some menu planning tonight and budget well, definately dont want to go over budget this month and still got 3 weeks left although DH is off prawning again so I know what I have got for tea again mind you they were yum he cooked them in olive oil, garlic and chillis mopped up by french stick so that is two meals which have cost nothing as everything else was in the cupboards.

Hi all,
Smoky....I would be spitting tacks if that happened to me...seems to be that if you are in danger of dying now they will do something, otherwise you can wait until you reach that stage! There may be a good medical reason for this, but could it be explained to lay people in words of one syllable please! Hugs to all your family.
Happy celebrations to all rejoicing, and hugs aplenty to those who are unhappy for whatever reason.
Took DGS2 to school this morning as DD4 was at dentist's yesterday by appointment, woke yesterday morning with toothache, has an infection and needs root treatment (€300). Dentist gave her 2 antibiotics (why 2??) and they haven't started to work yet so she was feeling rough this morning as she had hardly slept.
Nice enough day here, not warm, but pleasant, am trying to get rid of the junk mail that accumulates in my bedroom....am also going to try to clear up one of the spare rooms which at the moment is being used as a junk repository...have also to chuck the wardrobe in there as it is riddled with woodworm, have spare hanging rail so new wardrobe is not on my budget list yet, too many other things atm.
Hope to get to garden for a while, need to repot some cuttings which have taken and take some more, also want to sow some more shallots, not sure when they will mature, but we eat a lot on onions from scallion size up, aiming to eliminate some of the purchases we have to make every year.
Csarina....enjoy your new plaything.
PenPin, hope that the hospital appointments go well to-day.
Hugs to all those who are reading but feel unable to post through sadness...thinking of you all
