Well we have a drizzly overcast start to the day..nothing new there then
Hubby left for work and the bread is under way :T , hubby has put in a request for chicken and sweetcorn soup....so tea isnt going to take much sorting out....so thought id spoil him with a fresh loaf of bread to go with it:D

Nipped out yesterday afternoon to do the shopping..spent a whole 19.82euro - roughly £13.90...that will do us easily until next week...including stuff to make sausages - which will last a few weeks (if i can get them in the freezer before hubby spies em;) ).... so im on line for Dbelles challenge:j must go and update my signature whilst i think about it...im going to do this challenge next month too.... im loving it:rotfl:

we have money tins for everything ...the ones you cant get in without a tinopener.... we now have one for the bronze, 1 for gold, 1 for 2euros and a new 1 for the money i get back when i return the bottles to the gertrank/supermarket... the gold one seems to be adding up nicely :T ... should be quite fun when its time to open them,,,,although that will be quite a while yet  ...

Well i hope everyone who has ds/dd back off to school today copes ok...

    Have a good one everyone...:D

  • Morning Guys!!

OH took DD to school about 20 mins ago as she has to be in before 8 now:eek:    ...she was quite nervous, but she will be fine once she gets in and started today. The council have messed up again with the Free school dinners, so thats another call I have to make today which I dont have the energy for! Have sent her in with a packed lunch.

Didnt sleep to well again last night and keep getting bad headaches, but i know what that is. Have 2 hospital visits today which Im not looking forward too.

DW is half emptied, WM on and toilet scrubbed.

The bikes apart from one were collected last night and have someone coming Thursday for the clothes. Thanks to BargainRzl, I advertised a huge disc storage container on the local site and possibly have someone coming later. I also have a huge container of washing powder to go on there as DD is allergic to it, but its in a huge plastic container. I love Freecycle!

Anyway, I need some breakfast and a cuppa.

    Hugs to all.

    Morning All

In a better frame of mind today as I haven't got the work of 60 people to do! Plus I've had praise from one of the regional top bods

Went home and had a sleep for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. My paying in book for my PIN money savings account's finally arrived - I opened the account nearly 2 months ago!

Going to call Mr Mortgage Man later to make sure everything's going through ok.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Good Morning All

Good luck to all those with children starting school today/this week! What ever year they will be starting! As for my DS, it’s his first day at senior school (year7), he‘s really excited! DD will be in Yr 3 on Weds and she can’t wait neither!

I hope that we are well and everyone’s been good in my 2week absence!

I got back yesterday after a 2hr & 45mins delayed flight. Spent the day, unpacking, and washing 2 weeks worth of laundry for myself, OH & the kids. We all had a great time away on our separate holidays! Despite me not being allowed to talk to the kids, and if it wasn’t for Dlb’s input, I wouldn’t have known how they were! Thanks Dlb, for your much needed support whilst I was away and sorry that you had to face my ex-oh. You shouldn’t have been put into that position, but then I guess you know what he’s like by now! This was the longest time I was away from the kids, and it was hard (didn’t miss the bickering though). It was hugs all around when we was reunited again!

So in between, washing, a visit from my mum, a catch up with dlb, and sorting out DS’s school uniform. I managed to cook a huge family dinner. I sent OH to mr T’s to get a bit of food in, and we cheated by buying a cooked chicken! With thanks to mum for dropping some veg off, we had a lovely dinner.

Back to reality now, and it certainly didn’t take long to get back into out normal routine.
I was really looking forward to a hot bath last night, but for some reason there was no hot water. I must check the timer and see what the problem is!
Back to work also for me & OH today! Let me get used to being back, and I’ll think about putting in some overtime, after all, Christmas is not far away now!

Anyway, still got loads of washing left, so will try and crack onto it before work.
I have to fetch the dog back also this evening. Ive missed her too!
Take care all - it’s good to be back!
    Love Emma xxx

    Morning All

Special (((Hugs))) to DLB and anybody else whos going to be a home alone mummy for the first time. Its back nursery for us today, DD is very excited and I'm having problems getting her to eat her breakfast.

I'm off to work so I'll be leaving the washer on. Tea is an easy dry fried eggs and bacon with beans, and I'm going to treat myself to a salad from the butty shop while I'm at work, I've also got a bag full of fruit and DH is picking up DD from grandmas so I can go for a swim after work

    Have a good day everyone

  • Well my bus journey to work this morning was OK - from Islington to Smithfield. Roads were very busy and lots more private cars - I think I dodged the worst though! Ruddy tube strikes grrrrr.

It looks as if my plan to spend as little as possible on groceries this week is working - I'm having chickpea curry and rice tonight, which I made and froze about two weeks ago. :T The rice I got free from an ex-flatmate! Also, I went and bought all my veg from a brilliant local grocer, and it only cost about £5:j and that was including lots of stuff for a big cook-up - best £5 on food I've ever spent!

Good luck to everyone sending children off to school or going back to work at school! I remember the start of term all too well - only 12 years ago that I started secondary school. How did I get so much (education, two degrees, moving to London, financial independence, moving 5 times, engagement etc etc etc) into 12 years???

    Time flies!
