Reading this thread just gave me the motivation to tackle the kitchen

Mountain of dishes  done and dried and put away (usually they are left to dry on the draining board!
All worktops cleared, cleaned, and floor hoovered :T
    WM on its clean cycle
    recycling put out :D

All took the guts of 15 mins......I need to start keeping on top of it all!

Still 1.34765 million things to tackle :rotfl: Every little helps!

Been out this morning but now back. DD is helping which is brilliant but she should be revising. Washing went out and kitchen clean and bunny hutch done so it can dry off. Did has done her room and the hall and some LR
    Bathroom next for me

I wish I'd came across the thread earlier today as I've now to go to work and fearing the motivation will have evaporated out of me by the time I get home....either that or DH and DD will have made a complete mess again within 20 mins of being home lol

    Hello all. Welcome Queenie.

So the wardrobes are now in and I've filled them with our clothes. Room sanded where necessary and washed, and I've put masking tape where it's needed so I can start to paint the ceiling.

But first, walk the dogs and water the plants in the greenhouse.

Hope you're all having the glorious sunshine we've got here.

I'm not quite sure how this works - "me" time, always a rarity in the Wolf's Lair, seems to have completely vanished, never to be seen again!

A long-standing mega-cane toad has been commenced - cataloguing all the books in the bungalow, with a view to:
    • identifying any duplicates for disposal
    • identifying any that we wonder why the heck we're keeping them, also for disposal
    • identifying OOD technical stuff (Mr LW's stuff for the most part) for disposal
    • identifying sets we DO want to keep that are missing a volume, with a view to acquiring the missing volumes
Spreadsheets have been set up; we're emptying a shelf at a time into a crate, dusting the shelf, listing the books on the spreadsheets, dusting the books, and replacing them tidily in the shelves.

I think it's going to be a l-o-n-g task!

DD has been busy cleaning upstairs. A job that would have taken me an hour has taken her 4 and counting....5 loads of laundry done and out on the line, stuff now going in the drier so it can be done and dusted with so I can get it ironed tonight as I have no clothes!! Washing all caught up with.. 12 x 12Kg loads. DS2 brought his laundry down without any nagging.. so that has all been washed at 60'C with DW tablet and I am hoping is relatively clean.. His socks makes me want to cry they re so foul.. but the dressing gown didn't smell too badly of fried zombie so one wash might see it ok!

OH being sent to bring dry stuff from the line as it is forecast rain ALL weekend.. but I have dry laundry, folded and away laundry and no stinky mountains anywhere about the house ! That has to be a good thing!

I have done the ironing <takes a bow to fanfare> :rotfl:

All uniform washed, line dried and ironed ready to go upstairs. My ironing board is stood, table-like at the bottom of the stairs holding 3 neat piles ready to go up.

Devil child wasn't too bad, lol. Mum stayed drinking tea so he behaved. We sat for 2 hours in the conservatory watching them all play in the glorious sunshine, while we had a good old chinwag :D

House is so much tidier tonight :) we even sorted all the pens and pencils, and have a bagful to donate, possibly to school. Lots of colouring books to recycle and a neat pile of ready to use ones stashed in the craft drawers. Have some fab mini ones that will be good for hols.

So that's us for tonight, we are watching Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy, lol, although DD is nodding already. PJ time I think.

    Night all x

Bossy Well done re ironing, and also you sound much brighter x

    Hi all

Welcome Queenie. Is there anyone who has not been washing today? My WM has been going since half seven this morning and is not done yet. You watch, the weather forecast will be wrong now.

LW it may be sad but I would actually quite enjoy that. We made the decision not to to keep books, unless they were very special. They just take up so much room that we dont have.

House reasonably tidy, everyone fed, lots of washing dried and put away. Feet up now. Want to defrost the freezer tomorrow.
