I brought the washing in as it started raining.. nothing else has been done. :(

Even school took pity on me today.. I took Squeak through the office because it would have taken me so long to get around to her classroom door.. I just said can I pop her straight through beccause she isnt late bu she will be if I have to go round to her class then bring her back here? .. so they just buzzed her through and asked if I wanted a chair lol..

Nursery done until the 12th and Squeak finishes today too until the 11th...

Poor Squeak was in bed for 5:30 last night but seems much better this morning :) maybe those extra hours were just what she needed!

lunch scoffed .. I need to trundle to bank and to Boots and.. I just this second remembered the appointment with DS3 this afternoon.. bother... 2:30... nearly forgot!

Hope you feel better soon pigpen and affected little ones.
Just in from work. Really lovely day, even had a course midday on some techy stuff, didn't really affect me but was flattered to be asked and found it interesting.
Just played text tennis with my hairdresser to try and swap next weeks appt round best she could do was squeeze me in at 10 tomorrow or wait for two weeks. Dd3 has invited me and her sisters to go and watch her try dresses on next week when my appt was supposed to be as its the only day she's free off college and work and both her sisters jumped at the chance.

Got given enough choc to go up a dress size today so glad I told Dh not to get any as we still have Christmas choc to work through. I think I got given so much as I've been taking Christmas chocs into school for our class staff every Friday recently as a treat for getting to the end of the week.

Just going to go and throw a veggie lasagne together as after Dh has done his training and we've eaten were out with work mates to celebrate end of term.

Have a good night all I'll try and catch up again over the weekend

Last day with no kids tomorrow; J will be home in the evening. Had my counselling session this afternoon and Deb and I were saying this Easter holidays will be make or break for me and J as still having issues (spent a lot of last weekend rowing and I told him if things don't get better me and the kids are off - he's amazed I'm so matter of fact and calm about it but it's how I feel). D says how strong I am but how I am treating the whole thing with dignity and it's not turning into a slanging match but it's hard not to when he comes up with all the carp. Thing is he's not used to me being strong as I'm always down .... or rather I was .... and he's having to get used to me as I am now and I'm no pushover. Interesting times.
You know, I have a vision of you as Athena; standing tall, completely dignified, and stating the facts as they are, with no histrionics or melodrama. Go you! :T

Sorry ladies, but mowing the grass is definitely a "blue" job in my house. So much so, that I paid for astro-turf at the last house and have bought a sit on mower for this one. There are certain jobs that I refuse to do and mowing is one of them! (Cleaning cars is another). Can't offer any sensible advice on mowers, but might suggest getting a goat :rotfl:
We have an electric mower, a B0sch, which I find ok to use. I, too, am a lefty, but I just cross my hands to get the thing started, and hold the power bar as best I can. Why, oh why do they assume all lawnmower operatives are right-handed? :wall:But it's on wheels, so I can use it like a sort of rollator, so that I don't fall over in the process of mowing.:D We did the back lawn between us a couple of days back - I started off, and Mr LW took over half-way through, when I was starting to get really out of breath. :o

I've had a nice walk with my friend and her lurcher Mabel during which Whiz, bless him, rolled in some left over Indian takeaway and got it down his shoulder and hindquarters. Mabel thought it was very kind of him and licked a fair bit off - that dog of mine is ever the gentleman making sure his date has something nice to eat:rotfl: So got him back and showered him and he's so lovely and scrummy again - got to do Pip too as she's a bit stinky. Mr M delivery just arrived so put that away, had a cuppa and just about to shower Pip then will need to give the bathroom a good clean.
    <snip>
Nicki hope workmen not back today; Pip hates people outside our house and barks at people who pass which, in turn, sets Whiz off. She detests the postman with a vengeance .... how dare someone come into her house which she is protecting - we've had to put a guard on the letterbox to protect the postman's fingers :o. Such a feisty girl that JRT.
Dogs, eh? I've got some new-to-me guests booked in for future dates, and apparently one of them is a known seeker-out of fox poo._pale_
The thing with the postie, if you think of it from the canine pov, is this strange bloke comes and pokes something through your door, but you never invite him in, so he must be not welcome. Also, if it's a brown envelope, chances are you pick it up and groan, or say "oh, no" or something, so he's bringing you nasty stuff. Therefore he's a Bad Person. :D

Mr LW has been to the Fang Farrier this afternoon, as he lost a filling on Tuesday. He says he can eat his dins as soon as it's ready though - the last time I had a filling (about 4 decades ago) you had to wait for it to set before you could eat, but apparently the dentist set it with some sort of special light - so he wants his dins now. :rotfl:

So with no more ado, I must take myself off into the kitchen - it's nut loaf and rice with sweet'n'sour sauce tonight. ;)

TTFN - back when I get chance. ;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi all

DS2 has been called into a staff meeting, no idea what thats about, hope its not bad news. DH has taken him, he is making a big effort to help at the moment which is much appreciated! Off work now for 4 days but may do a little bit on job no. 2 at home. I also want to do some decluttering. After my Kon-Marie-ing last year there are bits of the house that are starting to accumulate "stuff" again.

I think that all the hard working fly ladies on here who have got a long weekend should make having some "me" time a priority.

Oh dear. I've had 3 weeks off work, and today, as the kids finish school for a few days, the house is a tip!

Loads of laundry to deal with, paper all over the LR, easter craft carp all over the DR, tat in the kitchen, my office is like Beirut and I have holiday stuff out in the spare room.

Been out to football tonight. At the end I asked if it was on next week, so stayed for a quick chat with the coach - he's really pleased with DS progress :) said he's got a lovely straight pass, and really pays attention. He just needs to build up some confidence :) DS said he's going to take his "worry anger" to football in future as it gives him courage when he's tackling heheh.

Anyhoo, I've told the kiddies, we don't have to get up early, but I want them to help me for an hour in the morning, getting things straight before his friend comes over in the afternoon. They can do a few little chores with me and then I might let them put a few easter trimmings up.

I'm sure it's just surface clutter and we can get straight pretty quickly :)

But for now, I'm bushed and going to have an early night! X

  • Evening all,

Nothing done today. Oh dear. Paid stuff, dropped children off at party, walked dog, picked children up from party, made food for me and OH, rang mum, put children to bed, fell asleep for a moment and here I am. Kitchen is trashed like you wouldn't believe. All my cooking carp, dirty pots, paperwork, the contents of schoolbags, coloring pens, easter baskets, bits of crafting leftovers. I could go on.

I have read the thread, but sorry, nothing at all has stayed in my tiny brain. So lots of easter hugs to all xx

Right, off to clear the kitchen at least, as I can't go to bed with it looking like that.
Tomorrow is another day, and it starts with hot cross buns!

Traffic much better to uni today thank goodness. Most talkative student in history - lovely but took forever. Seemed to get loads at Mr T, shuddered at the cost as I usually go to Ald1 but it just wasn't on my route home and as it was raining and after 6.30 when I left uni I just couldn't be ***ed to detour. Mr N texted to say did I fancy picking up an Indian takeaway which I was enthusiastic about until I put it in the oven and read that it was over a day's calories. I managed 20mins on the rebounder while it was cooking, but I'm just off to confess to MFP :o

Tomorrow's plan is go to Body Attack, collect lilies for church, do an arrangement then maybe go to the afternoon service although Mr N wants to take his mum out. Piles of paperwork to do before next Fri when I go away.
