Key finding, Good transfusion, general good health and coping with stuff vibes where appropriate

Bossy well done on getting your certificate, glad mistermoo is feeling brighter, sorry missmoo has teachers leaving issues, Hopefully she will get a permanent teacher for the whole of her cond year.

Got a meeting this afternoon with ds2s head followed by parents evening. He got his mock results yesterday and told me he threw them away as he didn't like them. He started by saying he'd failed them all but then conceded he did get one C. Not sure how bad this is or what the worst case scenario plan is I think this may be why I'm being summoned to school. He's got a provisional place in a good college based on getting 7 Cs or above, but hasn't got any idea what he wants to do or where he'll go if that falls through.

Because of the above I need to nip shops so I can make a veggie shepherds pie this morning so we have food to come back to once we get get home later.
Also want to do some more gardening, I'm hoping to create a little veg plot mostly in tubs and move the strawberry runners from behind the garage as they just get eaten by slugs. Going to bung some flowers in there I think as dd3 has said she wants a hand tie of garden flowers so I've got a year to grow some nice ones and practise.

I think ours is a flymo Kaz, I'm also a lefty the mowing is something Dh has always done so I've never had to see how awkward it is to do. Hope you can sell and get one that suits you better.

    Morning all.

Instead of getting on with the flying, I'm clearing my sewing repairs pile. As I was folding the clean laundry yesterday I added all the dropped hems etc to the pile and its doubled in size so is now overflowing the basket I keep it in and I'm distinctly lacking clothing :o Also more than half of Zacks toys and my mop heads are in the pile as well so it needs doing sooner rather than later. Then I plan on going for a shower or a bath depending on how long this sewing takes. Which then dictates what I'll do for the rest of the day.

I've already fixed a battery operated toy belonging to Zack and completed one sewing job so I'm on a roll! Lets hope I can keep this up and be done by midday ;)

Sorry ladies, but mowing the grass is definitely a "blue" job in my house. So much so, that I paid for astro-turf at the last house and have bought a sit on mower for this one. There are certain jobs that I refuse to do and mowing is one of them! (Cleaning cars is another). Can't offer any sensible advice on mowers, but might suggest getting a goat :rotfl:

Sorry...I'm in a silly mood this morning...

Glad the chemo went well CY x

Good luck with the mending Nicki - I can't do any sewing at the moment as all my crafty stuff went into storage after the flood, but I do have a couple of things that need a stitch or two. Hope poor Zack has a better day today with the workmen. My dogs aren't fans of our postie - in-fact the older dog will chase him if he can, so sympathies to you. I do worry that one day they will crash through a window in a bid to get to the poor guy.

Glad you're feeling better Bossy - jealous of your lovely new purchases ;)

Off to the shower, avec les enfants....

No typing work in today so I am feeling liberated! I've had a nice walk with my friend and her lurcher Mabel during which Whiz, bless him, rolled in some left over Indian takeaway and got it down his shoulder and hindquarters. Mabel thought it was very kind of him and licked a fair bit off - that dog of mine is ever the gentleman making sure his date has something nice to eat:rotfl: So got him back and showered him and he's so lovely and scrummy again - got to do Pip too as she's a bit stinky. Mr M delivery just arrived so put that away, had a cuppa and just about to shower Pip then will need to give the bathroom a good clean. Z had a shower this morning in our shower and left it covered with hairs and her towels and PJs just dumped right in the middle of the floor. Teenagers eh!

Dizzy like your idea of a goat for the lawn; nothing silly about that :). Glad you've got your sense of humour as sounds like things have been tough for you.

Mrs-MP hope the meeting later goes OK and that you enjoy your time in the garden.

Nicki hope workmen not back today; Pip hates people outside our house and barks at people who pass which, in turn, sets Whiz off. She detests the postman with a vengeance .... how dare someone come into her house which she is protecting - we've had to put a guard on the letterbox to protect the postman's fingers :o. Such a feisty girl that JRT.
